    3. Sorry about that, regarding John W. Younger, I think he married Rebecca Smith Layman. in the 1850 Census, you find John Younger, age 15 (which could be wrong) and Thomas Younger living in the household of Roysdon Layman and wife Rebecca of 28 years. they have a one year old son James R. Layman.both John and Thomas show their birth places as Tennessee. Now in the 1860 census you find John Younger (31) a Blacksmith married to Rebecca (28). Children William J. 4, Elizabeth 2, and then Thomas Younger at 19 is listed as and ap Blacksmith. The ages are what's confusing. The census taker listed Thomas last, and usually what they did was list the direct family children first starting with the oldest. I know this may be way off the mark, but feel strongly that Rebecca is the same. even though the two census ages are so much different. Something happened by the 1870 census, cause Rebecca is not in the household anymore.
