Wilma I would like to assume this is James, brother to Armistead, William and Williamson. I don't have a birth date for James so I really can't connect them, If James is born about 1818 then it would fit that the just about the whole family moved to Carroll Count, TN.
I've submitted the documentation which compels me to conclude that James Younger, brother, of William, Williamson and Armistead, died in Halifax County, VA. I'd like to see your documentation to the contrary. If the evidence is otherwise, I will need to adjust my data. I don't want to do that, however, unless the documentation is more convincing than that which I have presented. Willie -- the James I was trying to connect to a family is the one who married Harriet (Newbill - I THINK???) and is found in the 1850-60-70-Carroll Co. TN census records. Harriet appears as a widow in 1880 Gibson Co. Would you happen to know who the parents are for this James? Wilma ----- Original Message ----- From: Wilma C. Wilma- I may have gotten this from you, but this is what I have on your James Younger b 1810 Halifax, Va; d Sep 1835 Halifax, Va; m Sarah Anderson who marries Joseph Goodman in 1837 also in Halifax, Va. If the above is correct it would make sense that he died there, else Sarah would have married elsewhere and not likely have gone back to Halifax. I have nothing to back this up.
