I can't help you with the Ledford connection but I have a Mahala Ann b 1848 TN the daughter of David B and Catherine Melton who migrated from TN to Pope County AR. The significant possible connecting point is that her father David was born in GA. David was the son of Thomas Younger and his first wife Kendrick.
