William is the "other" offspring of Thomas who married Patience...why don't you know this? There were two Williams in Halifax in the 1785 and 1790 tax list and census. One had seven white souls and the other had six. One had sons and daughters; the other had daughters only....William/Patience had four daughters only. So...noone is actually really sure that one is not a son of Thomas.
