Yep!!! Sure 'tis! And that little piece of information gave me a child for Louisa Angeline Younger Howard, who was John Watkin's sister....Yea! John's mother was not born in TN. One of the kids must have given the info to the census taker. Also "Louiser's" father was born in NC just like her mother....so, this is not good info, but I know by seeing the Sam Howard (we've been looking for a child by Angeline with her first husband) that this is the John Watkins Younger family. He inherited the farm, because his dad said that John Watkins had received the least education of all his children, and John Watkins was the youngest, so he was supposed to stay and take care of the farm and his mother Louisa. Wilma, do you have the year of this census? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma Norton" <wilma@softcom.net> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2001 1:04 PM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] John Watkins Younger > > I wonder if this is that John and wife, with mother, Louiser (Louisa) living > with them? > Census Place: District 21, Carroll, Tennessee > Source: FHL Film 1255247 National Archives Film T9-1247 Page 229B > Relation Sex Marr Race Age Birthplace > John YOUNGER Self M M W 20 TN > Occ: Farmer Fa: VA Mo: TN > Laurah YOUNGER Wife F M W 19 TN > Occ: Keeping House Fa: TN Mo: TN > Louiser YOUNGER Mother F W W 61 TN > Fa: TN Mo: TN > Sam HOWARD Nephew M S W 14 TN > Occ: At Home Fa: TN Mo: TN > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Brownie MacKie <BMacKie1@compuserve.com> > To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, August 04, 2001 7:51 AM > Subject: [YOUNGER] John Watkins Younger > > > > I saw John Watkins Younger's wife listed somewhere as "Lula" which makes > more sense to me. > > > > Here is the Carroll County, TN transcribed version of the 1900 census for > John Younger.
