Thanks Wilma. Perhaps Newton is deceased. In 1870, Adeline (or maybe William is the writer) says in a letter that their family is small, only 4 in the family. Mary is married, so one child must be deceased. Or Amanda is deceased and Newton has moved away???? They are both old enough to be on their own in 1880 and Amanda is quite possibly married by then too. This last son is obviously Azel, after his Uncle Azel (we know census takers can't spell!) Is there anywhere online to find IL marriage bonds? Thanks a million!
You're welcome -- I don't know of an online source for IL marriages. ----- Original Message ----- From: <NKYList@aol.com> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 13, 2001 3:50 PM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] 1880 lookup > Thanks Wilma.
