Time for a subject change! haha! I am still trying to find info on William R. Cook and Adeline Younger. I found them in 1860 in Wilkes Co, NC as follows: 1860, Wilkes Co, Lower Division, Wilkesboro Dwelling # 241, Family # 241 Wm. R. Cook, 31, M, Farmer (50-value of personal property) Adeline M., 32, F Mary L., 7, F Amanda C., 3, F Newton Vance,1 (or 1 month), M >From a family letter, I know they moved to Illinois (probably Moultrie Co or near there). The letter is dated in the summer of 1870 and their daughter Mary was married in Dec. of 1869. I would like to see if any of this family is in IL in 1880. Adeline was alive, but I don't know about William. If you can find William Cook, Adeline Cook or Newton Cook in 1880 in IL, that would be helpful. But the hard part is finding Mary and seeing who she married. If you can search in IL for someone born in NC??? Parent's born in NC too (at least I know Adeline was) She would have been married 11 years in 1880. Or if you can find any of the other family, she may be listed nearby. Any help greatly appreciated!
