>From "Youngers of Virginia" by Mattie Ellen Trube. "....in 1706 Joseph Younger was very active as a merchant mariner between Whitehaven, England and Essex County, VA. He is recorded as having an order for chariot for a horse for Wm. Fauntleroy of Rappahannock Co. in 1741. That merchant company was continued until 1774 by John Younger of Caroline County, who had connections in many towns along the Rappahannock.
