If you, Linda, have been able to connect the Gang Youngers to either the Maryland or the Virginia family, I will be your first customer. I have tried every way but Sunday and have still not made the connection. As I see American Youngers we have * Alexander (no. 1) who disappeared from Maryland after defrauding his wife and probably had a family somewhere, as yet unidentified * The Essex/Halifax County Youngers. We've done a pretty good job on Halifax County but there is a lot yet undone on those that never left Essex County * The Maryland Youngers - Humphrey et al * The German Youngers represented on the List * We musn't forget the Younger Quakers - they have not been dealt with. * The descendants of John and Elizabeth who immigrated in the late 1600s (MD) leaving wills and descendants (I am especially intrigued by them but records are sparse) * Mixed in with all of these are the few that have slipped onto the immigration lsits without making any splash - Lewis Younger would be an example. * Lastly, we had better consider the descendants of the mullatto slave of Charles Younger who is well known to us. Very little work has been done on them although descendants lately have been coming forward. I don't know about you but the whole thing boggles my mind. I applaud your motives but I grow exhausted just thinking about it. Youngers in America are an exciting, interesting tale of American history. I never grow bored with tracking them. Don't be discouraged by my remarks, just take a deep breath and go for it knowing what you are in for. Among other things, it contained 5 women, by whom Charles Lee Younger had children. Here, I am supposing you refer to Elizabeth Simpson's two children: Catharine Frances and Simpson Charles. (I have some on their descendants if anyone is interested.) There were two more children by his black slave, Fanny: Nathan and Washington. I have not seen anything posted on them. Are there any known descendants out there. These last two were born sometime before 1852 in Jackson County, Mo. Fanny was b 1817 and died sometime after 1855 Osceola, St. Clair, Mo. Linda in KCMO
