Their son was Coleman Smith "Colie" Younger b 1847 in Liberty, MO. I am still retrieving info lost in the meltdown, but I believe this Coleman, his wife and son were all attorneys in California. I have more on the Peters family if you need that, as it ties into the second husband of Zerelda Cole James Sims Samuel, through Benjamin Sims family. Linda in KCMO

    3. I forgot to add- Littleton Purcell's father, Coleman Purcell was a full brother to Henry Washington, father of the gang; uncle to Cole, and half brother to all of the children by Charles of his significant other, Permelia Wilson (includes Charles Franklin, Bruce et al) The relationships were right, the name was wrong. Thomas Coleman was Cole's full name You asked where you could find Coleman Purcell's name written, I would suggest the will of Charles. I have all of Joshua's military records - some in the original and I have yet to see the name Elizabeth or Lee..He was placed on an invalid list and the gorey details of his injury were given in living color - and yet they kept him on awhile as a waggoner. They are, however, voluminous. Too much for my tired eyes tonight. Even a little bit. And to all- a good night- Wilma C. Hillman wrote: > 1.
