This was sent earlier today by JYG in one of her e-mails: "Younger, Thomas, planter, on 10 Nov 1769 committed fornication with Mary Dunkan and begot a base born child. He was fined 30 s., and ordered to give security to keep the country from any charge by means of his bastard child called Alexander. {Kecr DD#1:117A}" The child was called Alexander. Alexander what ? Alexander Younger ? or Alexander Dunkan ? If Nov 1769 was when they did the deed, the birth should have been abt August 1770. Did the child survive ? Did he marry and have children ? It isn't part of my line, just curious, keep waiting to hear Pual Harvey's voice come booming out of the ceiling "And Now The Rest of The Story...."
