    3. That pretty much matches everything I have on those two Humphreys. There is a third Humprey born 17 Mar 1782 died 22 Sep 1832 married Mary Campbell born 11 Feb 1795 died 17 Jul 1832. They married 23 Mar 1809 and had seven children. His parents are not known, but with that name I figure he enters into this mess somewhere. Last night I found the following, but I do not know what the references to sources in brackets refer to: SOURCE: "Family History: Colonial Families of Maryland, 1600s-1900s:Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore, Vol. 1, The Younger Family, Page 361-362." THE YOUNGER FAMILY 1. Humphrey Younger, was b. c1677, and d. by Jun 1740. On 10 Sep 1735, Humphry Younger, age c58 made a deposition regarding the bounds of a tract called Sims Farm; he recalled about 30 years earlier when he heard Giles Porter and his son John often say on the n. side of John Gale's plantation...{Kelr JS#18:194} Humphrey Younger d. leaving a will dated 9 March 1739 and proved 9 Jun 1740. To son John, he left a tract called The Sole; at his death to pass to his son John. To son Humphrey, dwell. plant.; at his death to pass to his son Henry. To son James, land adj. dwell. plant.; at his death to pass to his son James. To Sarah, wife of (son) John, personalty. To son Thomas, exec., residue of personal estate. {Mwb 22:206} The inventory of his estatewas taken 18 July 1740 and filed by the extx. Mary Younger on 27 Sep 1740. Next of kin were Humphrey Younger and James Younger. {Minv 25:213}Another inventory was taken on 11 Dec 1740, and filed by Mary Younger. {Minv 25:476} Humphrey and Mary were the parents of: JOHN, b 20 Apr 1707; HUMPHREY, b. 26 Jun 1708; JAMES, b. 21 Sep 1710; JAMES; and THOMAS. 2. John Younger, son of Humphrey and Mary, was b.26 Apr 1707. About 1740 he dep., age 47, regarding the bounds of a tract called Cornwallis's Choice; he recalled his father Humphrey Younger saying... {Kelr JS#28:45} He m. Sarah (N), and has a son JOHN, b. by March 1739. 3. Humphrey Younger, son of Humphrey and Mary, was b. 26 Jun 1708. He m. Mary (N). On 27 Nov 1753, Humphrey Younger of KE Co., shoemaker, and his wife Mary, conv. to John Kennard of the same county, farmer, part of a tract called The Sole Beginning, 84 a. {Kelr JS#27:409} Humphrey and Mary had at least one son: Henry, b. by March 1739. 4. James Younger, son of Humphrey and Mary, was b. 21 Sep 1710. He was the father of at least one son: JAMES, b. by March 1739. 5. Thomas Younger, son of Humphrey and Mary, was named in his father's will. Unplaced. Younger, John, of KE Co. d. leaving a will dated 12 Dec 1770, and proved 7 Jan 1771. In his will he mentioned children Thomas, Elizabeth, Joseph and "the rest of my children." The exec. was son Joseph. The will was witnessed by John Randall, Moses Alford and Margaret Randall. {Mwb 38:184} His estate was appraised by Nathaniel kennard and Moses Alford, and valued at L1.0.1. Abraham Cannel and Richard Lloyd for Messrs. Anderson signed as creditors. Thomas Younger and Rachel Younger signed as next of kin. Joseph Younger, exec., filed the inventories on 3 May 1771 and 5 Dec 1771. {Minv 107:395} Hus estate was appraised again and valued at L.54.17.9 and later at L.2.13.6. A list of debts was filed on 17 Aug 1772. {Minv 107:395, 108:29, 110:254} Younger, Mary, of KE Co., d. by 20 Oct 1748, when her estate was appraised by William Rasin and Thomas Bowers, and valued at L52.14.7. No creditors listed or next of kin were listed. John Brown (Quaker), admin., filed the inventory mentioning Richard Graham, henry Trulock and Joseph Trulock on 6 May 1749. {Minv 39:25} Younger, Thomas, planter, on 10 Nov 1769 committed fornication with Mary Dunkan and begot a base born child. He was fined 30 s., and ordered to give security to keep the country from any charge by means of his bastard child called Alexander. {Kecr DD#1:117A} Misc.: pg 27 Caleb Beck of KE Co. d. leaving a will dated 24 Jul 1756, and proved 19 Auf 1756. The heirs named were: wife Mary; Joseph Bown (or Browne), son of jame Younger, alias Bown; and cousin Caleb Beck. The will was witnessed by Thomas Abel, Robert peacock and Richard Peacock. {Mwb 30:127} pg 28 6. Aquila Beck, son of Edward and Anne, was b. 16 da., 4 mo., 1701. {Cemm} He m. Jane (N), and d. by 17 Apr 1751, when his estate was appraised by John Younger and Richard Kennard (value not shown). pg 272 Arthur Miller of KE Co., d. leaving a will dated 25 July 1750, and proved 5 Sep 1750. The heirs named were dau Elizabeth Jordine, to whom he bequeathed a slave loaned to her when she lived at Northeast in CE Co.; dau Sarah Clove; Humphrey Younger; Nehemiah Younger, son of Humphrey and Ann Younger; and son Arthur. The exec. was son Arthur.
