Found: -19 Aug 1742, Caleb Beck and his wife Mary conv. to William Savory of BA Co., Gent., part of a tract called Long Compton, 12 a. {Kelr JS#24:5} -19 Jun 1755, age c54, deposes regarding bounds of the tract called Williamston; he heard his uncle John Beck say...{Kelr JS#28:137} -Signed Will: 24 Jul 1756, Kent, Md, Usa. [Wife, Mary; Joseph Browne, son of Jane Younger, alias Bown; cousin Caleb Beck.] Probate: 19 Aug 1756, Kent, Md, Usa. SOURCE: -Colonial Families of the Eastern Shore, Vol. 1, The Beck Family, Page 26. Was it possible that Jane Younger (I do not have it as James, it was written as Jane) had previously married a Bown/Browne whose son was either adoped legally or used the stepfather Youngers name?
