    3. Got on this list in the first place to concentrate on the difference between the two Williams of Halifax. Would like for one of you to work with me on this. I think it's necessary. Received a gedcom from a young descendant this a.m. who has William married to "Patience Mary" and has lumped all children together. There are several people who have done this. But it's not accurate, and some of us claiming William, son of Thomas, may be decidedly off base. One of the Williams had only daughters. William may be son of noone in Halifax at all. Either that, or Thomas named two sons William. I will be focusing on this problem for a while, so if anybody wants to join in, please feel free to do so. Brownie

    3. I just reread this note and a thought struck me. If William and Patience had only daughters, that William's line would end there and he would have no descendants by the name of Younger. Isn't that a backward kind of evidence that the descendants you have been following into Tennessee and west are the descendants of the William (son of Thomas) who had male progeny?
