    1. [YOUNGER] John Younger in Illinois
    2. Wilma (Younger) Norton
    3. Working on the Illinois census for 1900 and found a John which stumps me. William F. Younger, head Jan 1850, 50 m24y IN KY KY - he is son of Charles Washington and Mary (Harmon) Younger. Alice C. (Dollarhide) wife Mar 1852, 48 m24y 11-9ch OH OH OH Gertie, dau Sep 1877, 22 s IL IN OH Bernard L. son Dec 1879 20 s all children born IL IN OH Early, son May 84, 16 Perry L. son Sep '85, 14 Noel, son Dec '86 13 Jessie B dau Mar '89, 11 Florence D. dau Oct '90, 9 Marguerette, dau Jan '95, 5 and here's the stumper John, uncle, Aug 1819, 70 wd KY KY KY To be an uncle of William F., this John would have to be a brother of W.F.'s father, Charles Washington. But, I don't have a John born ca. 1819 in that family. Charles Washington's parents were Isaac Younger and Eleanor Younger (cousins); Eleanor has a brother, John, born 3-12-1806 (from Wilma Hillman) and Isaac has a son, John, born 1830 (from 1850 census) -- so neither one of those work out. Maybe he wasn't a blood uncle? Anybody have any thoughts on this? Wilma

    3. Evidently William bought the land from Allen Stokes and wife Polly, all of Pittsylvania, etc. on 25 Oct 1825 and then sold it to his brother in 1828. 1. [YOUNGER] Margarette Hutchins work
    2. Dear Youngers: Today I gathered together Margarette Hutchins' genealogy research work that my uncle, Dr. Harold B. Younger, had done by Margarette many years ago before my interest in genealogy began. I think some of it is in the FOTY book, but I have some pages titled "Younger Records of Essex County, VA" that I cannot find in the FOTY book...perhaps I err. ???? I will be glad to share these with you as soon as I copy them. However, I do not want to have to copy anything that is already published somewhere, so if you will tell me whether or not this particular group of pages of research (it's more a narrative) is held by others, I would appreciate it. This weekend is very busy...I have son and grandsons here, and on Monday, I will be gone all day, but after that...nothing for next week, So let me know if you know what I'm talking about. I will gladly send you copies.....etc. Love, Brownie **************Access 350+ FREE radio stations anytime from anywhere on the web. Get the Radio Toolbar! 2. Betty...that's very thoughtful and thought provoking at the same time. I finally calmed down. We solved the problem; the "letter" is gone. Somebody learned a hard but necessary lesson. My lesson is that I need to be very careful and concerned as to whom I send personal information and make sure that they know not to publish it. It's always something. And yes...I agree that a lot of problems will be posed regarding the 1940 census. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Love Brownie In a message dated 4/17/2009 4:25:59 P.M.
