    2. Wilma (Younger) Norton
    3. Willie, I came across this family in a round-about way....Leni sent me an oral interview by Dora Deane Hiatt Younger, and I managed to find who she was married to. At any rate, this family starts out in Maryland, goes to Ohio and eventually lands in Colorado. I'm sending it in case it is of interest to you. I should explain that when in the source notes it only gives a census year, i.e. 1910--, that means I didn't find them in that census. Sometimes I haven't even looked for them, but that is my way of leaving a space for that year in my database. If I do go back and look for them, I'll have an open slot to put them in. Gives a lot of the secrets to using it to its utmost. Will E-mail it to anyone of you that would like it. E-mail me at cyoungersr@comcast.net to request a copy off list. CY

    3. I have Footnote as well. And one of the nice things, is that in digitizing the records, the quality of the copies is outstanding. In many cases, much better than you would receive if you sent away for the records. 2. It IS an interesting site. You can also buy a copy of an item for $1.95 or so, which is a nice feature. Footnotes is most likely owned by Ancestry....just a heads up on that. 3. I subscribe to both - Ancestry and Footnote and find each one worthwhile. I printed off the entire pension file for my great-grandfather, it was almost an inch thick! And I've printed off several records of my ancestor's military files. Also printed another file of almost an inch thick, my Rev. War Patriot's file. Plus, if you just like to read historical stories, there is a lot of that there too. Another good site is Heritage Quest online. You can access it at your local library for free, and some libraries have at home access free, you just need a library card number. 3. Sorry, the paper I mentioned about the story below, was the Baltimore Sun, not "Maryland" Sun (duh...) The BALTIMORE Sun, March 3, 1908 gives mortuary notice of a Thomas R Younger and his wife, both age 63 who died on March 2, 1908. Thomas was an employee for the Gas company and 30 years prior to that, superintendent of the Powhattan Horse Car Company. Their children were Thomas A. Younger, Gilbert R. Younger, Frank W. Younger, Edith and Effie M Younger and Mrs. Samuel Conant. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma C. 3. Thanks, Betty, for all these snippets of information, but none of the names seem familiar to me. I posted what I had found so far, so now you know the names for the children: Frank or Francis; William H.; Bernard; John; Howard J.; George A.; Robert G.; Edward Lon for the males. I will get back to searching for marriages soon and will post any that I find. George A. married a Jemima, don't have her maiden name yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike and Betty" <mike.betty@gmail.com> To: <younger@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 05, 2009 10:10 AM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Maryland Younger Family > The Maryland Sun, March 3, 1908 gives mortuary notice of a Thomas R > Younger > and his wife, both age 63 who died on March 2, 1908. > Thomas was an employee for the Gas company and 30 years prior to that, > superintendent of the Powhattan Horse Car Company. > > Their children were Thomas A.
