I commit my soul into the hand of Almighty God, my savior and only redeemer through the merit of whose death and passion I hope to have full and perfect remission and forgiveness of all my sins. Thirdly I will and bequeath to my son JOHN YOUNGER that piece of land which I bought of Mary Newton, two young cows out of my proper stock, six pound currency and his choice of my other two guns. If either of my two sons Thomas or John die without issue then their land, money and gun to fall to the eldest female then alive only my will is that the child in whose hands any of the boy's land falls to, the other part of their estate shall be equally divide among the rest then alive. They themselves that have the land having one equal part thereof. It is my will that the two eldest then alive of the female kind if the male be all dead should inherit the land. Alexander left a will in Essex County, Virginia. Essex County Wills, Etc. No. 4, 1722-1730, Reel 40, pp 22-23, probated in court 1727. It names six children: James, Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, Jannet, Susannah. Wife Rebecca. Executors: wife, Rebecca, and son, Thomas. This is what I have in the way of documentation. The repository? Dunno. This is what happens when you copy other people, but at least it is a strong clue. Like you, I love the complete transcription. Maybe someone much more knowledgeable than me will post it. According to the FOTY book (Margaret Hutchins work transcribed by Wilma Hillman), the will should be located in Essex County, "Wills, Bonds, Inventories, Essex Co, VA Book 4: p. 222-223." I just recently found, on ancestry, Kentucky Birth Records, 1852-1910, and came across some interesting items. One of these is another Isaac Younger. This one was born Apr 20, 1855, county not listed, mother was Catharine Davis and father was Isaac Newman Younger. Another that I could not identify was a daughter Alice Ann born June 20, 1855 to Henry and Sarah Ann Hoskins Younger, again no county listed. I don't remember now who it was, but some time back I corresponded with someone interested in Hugh Buchanan, born Aug 1856, Hopkins Co., son of John and Virginia Kirkwood. Hope whoever it was sees this. If anyone knows anything about the new Isaac (to me at least) or Alice Ann, please let me know. Wilma

The question seemed to be - was Lemuel born in KY or not and ultimately did he go back to Maryland. Out of eight children for whom I have places of birth there are six who are listed as born in KY (Bullitt County where the elder Isaac apparently went) They are brothers, Henry, William, and Squire and two sisters ; America, and Harriett. The elder Isaac settled near Henry Younger in Bullitt County KY.
