Found this in the library today. 'A History of Halifax County (Virginia) ...by... Wirt Johnson Carrington 1924; Appeals Press, Inc; Richmond, Virginia' 1801, October Will of William Watkins Wife Mary, Daughters Molly Younger, Sally Brown Philemon Hurt and Henry E. Coleman, securities "William Watkins" It doesn't actually quote the will, just the above. Could this "Molly Younger" be the wife of William Younger? The date is about right. The book lists very little Younger family info (a couple of marriage dates), but gives a few pages of info on the Watkins family (didn't get any of it copied but the above, they were closing when I found it). I will return tomorrow to copy. Let me know if you're interested. Found in one of the many 'Piles" on my desk, may be of interest to some of you: >From Annie Kenney Box 342 Slaton, Tx 79364 TO Clifford Dean Younger Sr 2118 Hovington Circle West Jacksonville, Fl 32246 Aug 11, 1995 Dear Mr. Younger, There was a message on our genealogy BBS saying that you were compiling a data base on the YOUNGER surname. Samuel Younger Kelsick is my great grandfather. One of his brothers descendants gave me a copy of several pages of Kelsick genealogy from either a book or pamphlet, THE KELSICK FAMILY OF ENGLAND, NORTH AMERICA AND THE ISLE OF ANTIGUA. This was given to her by her mother and she does not know where she got it but it seems to have been written by someone who had been to England in the early 1960's. In this material there was a Captain Richard Kelsick born about 1687 (a resident of White Haven, England) who married an Eleanor Younger. She was the daughter of Joseph Younger and Elizabeth Crosthwaite. There are several Captain Richard Kelsicks in the Kelsick family. Most of these, it seems from this information, were owners of sailing vessels. You will find this same line in the Mormon data under ENGLAND. It is exactly the same as the materials I have. I hope this is of some value to you. Let me know if you need any other data. If I remember correctly I am a descendant of Captain Younger Kelsick. Sincerely, Signed Annie Kenney

If Milton's grave is found, I would love to have a digital pic. Good luck! A couple of questions: 1. Was it Millie Taylor's parents, William Taylor and Rebecca Barnes, who died Nov 1867 and 1840-50? 2. If Milton Younger died in 1854, why would Milly have moved back to her family home in 1840? 3. How do we know Milton's daughter Rebecca died in 1912? In Katharine Younger Wallace's letter to her son, Robert Milton Wallace, I believe the "wild harum, scarum boys" she talks about are Nat Capps (a relative of her son-in-law Bill Capps) and Jim and Buck Crenshaw (relatives of her son-in-law Bill Crenshaw). If someone has more descendant info on Milton's children, I would love to add it to my data base. Many thanks for all the help coming from many directions! Gaye Lynn Stanga gstanga@telocity.com
