Wilma, Here's an odd thing. I went to look up Falconer in the index and found that I had another one besides Elizabeth, and being it was not a Smith/Jones type of name, clicked on it. There may be a connection there. Alexander Falconer was b abt 1699 and m 9 Feb 1719 Susanna Duvall, dau of Samuel Duvall and Elizabeth Clark. So... who are these people? Well they were married 1697 in All Hallows Parish, AA County, Md. Coincidence? Way down the chart this family connects to the Ridgely and Dorseys, ancestors of Jesse James mother. > > ITEM: > > I have the children of Andrew Younger-Elizabeth Falconer if abyone wants > > them. Maybe this is NOT the Andrew, brother to Alexander -- I have Androw (as spelled in the Scottish Church Records CD) being born 1640 - he would have been 67 years old! Thanks Linda, Doris is a dear, dear lady. She's my 2nd cousin, once removed. I will be spending a week with her this month, as she celebrates her 88th birthday. I can't wait! Nancy
I also have a box of old documents, letters, receipts from the families of Joseph Holton Younger Sr. and Jr. I was like a kid in a candy store when I first picked them up from my cousin. Knowing that they received letters, I keep hoping to find a second cousin out there who may have letters that they wrote back in response. The letters also tell me that my ancestors were requesting pictures of each other....so, maybe there's a chance someone has saved some of them too. I can keep hoping! I have had a couple of the letters framed with glass on the front and back. It preserves the letter and is a great conversation piece. Just thought I'd pass along the idea :)

That is a part of my hopes, in writing my book; to put people in touch with eachother who are looking for the same ancestry. ITEM: I have the children of Andrew Younger-Elizabeth Falconer if abyone wants them. This is Alexanders brother who stayed in Scotland. ITEM: -SOURCE: Old Parochial Registers, 1612-1854; Church of Scotland (Glasgow). The only children listed were: Jean Younger 18 Oct 1674, parents Tho. Younger/Anna Smith Agnes Younger 11 Mar 1678, parents Thomas Younger/Anna Smith Mary Younger 16 Feb 1690, parents Thomas Younger/Anna Smith ITEM: Jean married Andreu Morson 27 Mar 1707 Govan, Lanark, Scotland SOURCE: Parish Registers, 1689-1855. Church of Scotland, Parish Church of Govan. [Morson-Younger] Their daughters: Jean Baptism: 29 Feb 1709, Port-Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. Isabel Baptism: 18 Mar 1711, Port-Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland. -SOURCE: Parish Registers, 1689-1855. Church of Scotland, Parish Church Port-Glasgow. ITEM: About Mary Younger above b 1690. She cannot be the Mary Younger who married Henry Anderson, and sister to Humphrey Younger, as stated in records found in Kent County. That Mary Anderson has a daughter Elinor Anderson who married John Marsh in 1703, thus THIS Mary would be only 13 when her daughter was getting married!! So,. we can now cancel out this as being the sister to our Humphrey Younger. Any comments? ITEM: With the above statement our Mary (Younger) Anderson would have been born about 1663, if she and Elinor were both 20 when they married, so this is just a ballpark figure. But for sure, she was not born in 1690! Back to the drawing board! Linda in KCMO

Someone gave me her death date as May 1872, NOW I am wondering if this was supposed to be a marriage date and not death-as that makes more sense! I will look into this. Thanks for bringing it up as it might have gone unnoticed. I started this when I was 16. Being the oldest grandchild has it's advantages, plus I have been called the family "packrat" as I keep everything, including my baby cowboy boots! :) My son was here last week on his vacation from CA, so I was thrilled to have all 5 of my kids in the same state at the same time. One morning about 3 am they all decided to go thru our keepsakes box, (which has gotten too big to move.) Then there was Dad's Navy box from WWII. A few tears fell, but lots of smiles and memories recaptured. I have a cradle that is about 200 years old, a doll mini quilt and a childs rocking chair which have been handed down in my Carter line. I also have an Indian medicine man necklace that I have no idea where it came from, but all of us kids took it to show and tell in school.... I want to take it to a museum one day and see if they can identify the bones and teeth which are on the 36" pirce of rawhide.
