Linda, I'd love a copy of the actual census page! Thanks! You can send it direct to this e-mail, nkylist@aol.com. I recognize the names of the children, Dora and Winnie. In my files, and according to Dora's grandson, they are the children of William Mahlon Younger and Mary Cansady Dowell. "Mahlon" is the son of Joseph Holton Younger, Sr. Now, I'm really confused... I've never heard of Timada, or anything close! In a message dated 8/7/01 6:24:34 PM Eastern Daylight Time, jyg@kc.rr.com writes: << Do you want a copy of the actual census? With the help of some of my family they say Timada is as good a guess as any. As my son pointed out the a at the end looks like the a a few lines up in the name Rhoda. The T is the same as the T in Tennessee. The grandson William H. Younger was born in 1906 and this would be his grandmother. Where do these people come from that you do not know her name? Or was it just a Younger that you found? >>

Nancy goto the 1900 index and look for Docia Younger, her mother is listed as Kansada Monhallen (sp?)! Monhallen, Kansada head w f Mar 1862 38 M 6 6 6 NC NC NC Linda in KCMO If you don't find it tell me...
Yes it has no dotted i---- hmm... Tensada is a possibility. So who was head of household in 1900, I am looking in the index....waiting to hear. Hoping for a clearer name in it! Wilma H.- Have you gotten to my post about Mary Younger who married Henry Anderson and sister to Humphrey Younger, is NOT the same Mary Younger daughter of Thomas Younger and Anna SMITH (got it right this time) becasue that one was b 1690 and our Mary's daughter Elinor Anderson was getting married to John Marsh in 1703, so was impossible to be the same one. So we now have brother and sister Mary and Humphrey Younger looking for parents. I was wondering about your thoughts on this when you get a chance. Linda in KCMO
I found this too... just thought someone might be interested. THE KENTUCKY LAND GRANTS Volume 1 Part 1 CHAPTER III OLD KENTUCKY GRANTS (1793-1856) THE COUNTIES OF KENTUCKY page 255 Grantee: Younger, Joshua Acres: 600 Book: 5 Page: 331 Date Survey: 11-15-1791 County: Nelson Watercourse: Rolling Fk
Thankyou Wilma, now I know I heard this somewhere, so you have clarified that at least. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma C. Does anyone have access to the ACTUAL 1910 census for KY? I found the following at ancestry.com in the 1910 Miracode index. I need help with the "Timada" name....is that for real? or a transcriptioner's interpretation? Any help appreciated. On its way let me know if you can read it. No, none of those names seem to fit. This is curious for sure. Mary Bomar and Williamson Younger were the parents of John Henry Wilson Cage. Mary was pregnant with him with Williamson died. I've sent this information in so many times. I'll send the copies of the court record abstracts that list him as John Henry Wilson Younger or Wilson Younger, or JHW Younger suing his brothers and sister over his part of Mary's estate. ETC. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma C. #1 a MILTON Cage did not exist; that was a mistake by a transcriber. The man was Wilson Cage, brother of Fielding Cage. #2 Mary Bomar called him John Henry's father because he was as good as John Henry's father, because she was pregnant when Williamson died, and Wilson took over guardianship right away. She never married; she died soon after Williamson died. I doubt she was fooling around...no time with five little kids and pregnant with the last one. Margarette Hutchins did the research herself, and I furthered her research when I went to Halifax last year. I also got in touch with the descendants of John Henry. He went by the name of Younger many times. I have JHW Younger on deeds in Halifax. This is one thing I know a lot about. Fielding Cage was also a guardian of JHW, and Fielding moved to Louisiana. John Henry moved back to Carroll County, TN and married Ida Bomar after his first wife Lucy Lanier died. He died in either Atwood or McLemoresville. I posted all this information on the list last week. JHWCage Younger was my gg grandfather's youngest brother. ----- Original Message ----- From: "JYG" <jyg@kc.rr.com> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2001 7:00 PM Subject: [YOUNGER] Younger-Cage? > > Thankyou Wilma, now I know I heard this somewhere, so you have clarified > that at least. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Wilma C. Do you want a copy of the actual census? With the help of some of my family they say Timada is as good a guess as any. As my son pointed out the a at the end looks like the a a few lines up in the name Rhoda. The T is the same as the T in Tennessee. The grandson William H. Younger was born in 1906 and this would be his grandmother. Where do these people come from that you do not know her name? Or was it just a Younger that you found? ----- Original Message ----- From: <NKYList@aol.com> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2001 4:45 PM Subject: [YOUNGER] Timada (?) Sorry about that!! Hit send before I wrote the reply! It's been a LOOOOONG day! Anyway.... Nancy wasn't the first-born child of Joseph and Elizabeth. They had a son on the 1790 census. I wondered about that until a found a list of official census dates (unfortunately, I can't remember where I found it) and it said the first Monday in August was the the first census date for 1790-1820. With that, their first-born son was possibly premature. Of course, we don't know how long it took to get around to complete the census, and I suppose it could have been a couple of months before they counted Joseph & Elizabeth and their new-born son. With that scenario, and given the marriage date for Nancy and William Green, Nancy was most likely the first born daughter. If born as early as 1791-1792, she would have been 17-18 when married. Certainly not unbelievable. And yes, William Gray was probably born 1797-98. He was 52 on the 1850 census and 83 on the 1880. Again...I don't think Joseph is the son of James Younger and Anna Nash. Gotta see some documentation for that! I do recall someone asking in general for documentation of James & Anna's children. Does anyone have a good list of their kids w/sources?
