I have the 1850 census -- if you look at the entry just before this one, Richard Sanderson, then it looks like Charles S., but a few lines down where he writes Laborer -- it looks like the same L. I'm willing to go either way, since it's so hard to tell from the handwriting. I don't have any of the children for Jesse and Temperance, would like to have them. Actually you have given this family a group to fit into. All of the info I had on him was in the 1900 census. Some of the dates were mixed up, but nothing drastic. James C. Younger and Margaret Hinson also had a son Tillman D. Younger. This one was b Jan 1841 Tnl m 1872 to Cincinnati b 1853 in Mo. Children: Annie (Dec 1882), Delbert (Dec 1888), George (Aug 1891), Jeffrey (Mar 1893) and Ester (Aug 1896). I also have the 1900 census on this family which provides the information above. You can see the confusion this must create with both Timmans naming their children the same names! Now this is funny.... you said his name was spelled Timman and you can see I typed it that way. I did not type it that way on purpose, so you can see how easy it can be a typo in this spelling. Yes, this was from a post someone had on ancestry.com and I posted to them and my post was sent here. The woman was stating that this Tillman was the grandson of Charles Lee Younger, and son of Thomas Jefferson Younger. She was the one who named him. I have another Tillman D. Younger b Jan 1841 TN, wife Cincinnati, children Annie, Delbert, Georg, Jeffrey and Ester. This Tillman was son of James C. Younger and Margaret Hinson. Tillman Thomas David Younger b 15 Mar 1883 d Apr 1973 Plainview, Yell, Ar SOURCE: Social Security Death Index SS# 432-16-9215, issued Ar. Children: Gertrude Rosina (m Charles Warren Pearson), Delbert, Jeffrey, Martha Elizabeth, George Newton and Esther Millie. I have this Tillman as son of W. M. Younger and Martha, as per the 1900 census where the date of birth agrees with the SS#. This gives other children of W. M. as: Arthur, Edward, Rosie, Albert and Ollie. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wilma Norton" <wilma@softcom.net> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2001 2:27 PM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Re: Joshua logan Younger > I don't know either, it says (below) from you to YOUNGER-L at rootsweb??? > But, never mind about the request, I found W. Wilma N- If you goto ancestry.com and type in Tillman Younger it has an option to goto the message boards. That is where I posted that note and where I got the full name. I just did it again and the first post is from this lady who had his name and is related. You might want to cantact her. I had not used these message boards before. Might want to look there and see who is working on these lines. Younger (James, Thomas) was born June 12, 1845 in Giles Co., TN. He married Martha A. Woodworth, daughter to Nathan Woodworth and Pricilla. She was born abt 1850 in AR. William and Martha were married October 3, > 1866 in Searcy Co., AR. > William's Mother was Margaret Hinson b. Oct. 24, 1817 TN. His father James b. abt 1812 GA. was the son of Thomas Younger (b. abt 1791 in N.C.) and his first wife Rachel Hendricks (b.abt 1791 S.C.) > William had a brother named Tillmond D. born Jan 30, 184? per the family bible. The Pope Co. Historical Society refers to Timman Younger as one of William and Martha's sons. Perhaps there was a misspelling. The family bible > does not have clear recordings of William & Martha's children as it does of James and Margaret. Ancestry.com will not take my access code today thus I haven't been able to view the 1900 census report. I look forward to seeing the > report. I don't know either, it says (below) from you to YOUNGER-L at rootsweb??? But, never mind about the request, I found W. M. (William M.) on the 1900 census at ancestry dot com. All it says in the census is Tillman Younger -- where did you find the "Tillman Thomas David"? ----- Original Message ----- From: JYG <jyg@kc.rr.com> To: <YOUNGER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, August 12, 2001 12:12 PM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Re: Joshua logan Younger > I don'tnow how this got here, it was posted to an Internet site.
