    3. Larry, you can't send attachments to the List, you will have to send the picture to their personal addresses. p.s. it wasn't this Wilma, I don't have a copy of the picture, although I think I've seen it. Must have been Wilma Hillman. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Chandler" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, December 08, 2006 12:26 AM Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Younger Store in Halifax Co., Va. > Here is the picture, it was probably Wilma, or Brownie who sent the > picture > to me. > Larry > ==================================== > In HALIFAX COUNTY, Va. > seeking Afro-American > > Brown > Byrd > Chandler > Chappell > Lacy > Younger. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Elizabeth Martin" <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]>; <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2006 7:52 PM > Subject: Re: [YOUNGER] Younger Store in Halifax Co., Va. > > >> My hard drive crashed over Thanksgiving (something to do with kids being >> home from college) and I lost the email with the picture as well, so I >> would >> like another copy. >> >> Thanks. >> >> Betty Martin >> ----- Original Message ----- >> From: "Roberta J. 2. Wilma C. Hillman
    3. I apologize for being so tardy in replying and forgive me if someone else has answered this question. I have been working on another line but do print material from the Younger website for examination at a later time. The question was: "Who was the William H Harrison who was living in Texas in 1900. His father was born in NC and his mother was born in MO." I have in my records: William H Harrison Younger b 17 Nov 1858 Centralia, Benton County, MO d 14 Feb 1849 Greenville, Hunt County TX m 7 Oct 1888 Greenville, Hunt County TX Minnie Reynolds b 4 Jun 1872 Duchess NY d 28 Nov 1949 Greenville, Hunt County TX. His parents were John C Younger and Helen Harris. His grandparents were Rev Robert Anderson Younger and Edith Horn.

    3. Hello all ... Now that we're settled in (just moved back to Oregon) I am going through my back log of emails. Apparently, I have some catching up to do. Bobbi - Checked out your interview, thanks for saying so politely what some of us have been yelling for the last few years (much to the dismay of some of my closer relatives). There's been some talk about records in Scotland, and I'm afraid I missed something somewhere. Many moons ago, when I inherited this project, I was given a family group sheets that went back as far as Alexander Younger & Margaret Steinson, but the notes (mine, written in the margins) indicate that their parents' information was conjectural. I'm assuming from recent posts that that's not the case. Do we know anything more about these families than their names? - Stephen _________________________________________________________________ All-in-one security and maintenance for your PC.  Get a free 90-day trial! http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwlo0050000002msn/direct/01/?href=http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwlo0050000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://www.windowsonecare.com/?sc_cid=msn_hotmail

    2. Lu MacKie
    3. Pat...the point is that Andrew is mentioned in the will. We all know that. Whether or not the LDS has a paper or not is irrelevant. They have a lot of misinformation filed away. I'm sure that a Bradley in 1985 probably got no further in his research than some of us have in this day. Or I could be wrong. :-) B. 1. [YOUNGER] St. Mary's County Lees
    2. Judy
    3. Pat Finnell, Are these or do you know if these Prices are related to yours. Go to:www.geocities.com/heartland/7590/index.html. The page is Passengers In Time. Scroll down to Lee-more Lee Records-Littleberry. On the next page under Baltimore County Chancery records they discuss some Prices and some McCaslins along with Lees. I'm not sure if the Lee's in St. Mary's County that they are discussing I guess are supposedly related to/or they are trying to find common ancestors to the ones in St. Mary's County, MD. But further down they discuss the Lee's in Orange County, IN where Joshua Younger lived with his supposed wife Lizzie Lee? Of interest, is the list of Lee's, two marrying Leatherman's, which Joshua Youngers descendants married into in and around Orange County, IN and two married Teagardens of whom are related to Mary Agatha Dearing Younger. If you saw the Robert Montigue letter I posted, he discussed the fact that the Lee's married into the Montigue family (Mary Agatha Younger is a descendant)on several occasions. I'm wondering if this St. Mary's County Lees could possibly be related to the supposed Lizzie Lee? Sounds to me like both Younger lines are related to Lees? ________________________________ From: [email protected] on behalf of [email protected] Sent: Sun 11/26/2006 8:03 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [YOUNGER] Who is Bradley? 3. Francis...I, too, was glad that we were not related to the "gang"...and my g grandfather, James Williamson Younger, along with a couple of his sons, met with Cole after one of Cole's lecture tours, and Cole quipped that they might be "distant cousins"...but could find no real tie to a relationship. And, like you, I have a few relatives that are disappointed. Oh, well. 3. Just a short note to share some info with you. I gave a presentation at the International Conference on DNA and Genealogy, and was interviewed. Here is a segment of the interview, and it focuses on two of my surname projects, the Estes project and the Younger project. There is a written article and if you click on the interview, there's a video portion too. They interviewed several folks, so I'm really surprised I received so much "airtime". I think they liked the aspect of the "Younger gang" - made for good press:) Bobbi http://www.voanews.com/english/2006-11-24-voa49.cfm

"The Army and Air Force Exchange Service in a partnership with charitable groups, is sponsoring "Gifts From the Homefront" designed to put gift certificates in the hands of U.S. military personnel serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. "To send a gift certificate, go online to www.aafes.org or call 877-770-4438. The gift certificates come in denominations ranging from $5 to $50 and can be redeemed by service members at the 53 stores operated by the exchange service and at 187 fast-food outlets set up in the Iraq theater. "The gift certificates may be sent to an individual service member or, to "any service member". The exchange turns to sergeants and commanders to identify military personnel who can use some financial support or are have a bad time and need a morale boost. Happy Holidays to all, Wilma
