    1. Re: [YOUNGER] Questions about Thomas Younger & Mary( Polly) Nall Younge
    2. Okay...I found a marriage record for Mary Younger to a Thomas Mayberry in Williamson County, TN in 1817 with Thomas Younger's name as BM (?). Could Thomas be buried in a cemetery with Mary's husband's family? Brownie Oh, to be seventy again! Oliver Wendell Holmes

    2. It was the Williamson County (Franklin township) census for 1830. I'm through with some research I started a while back. Give me some more clues, and I'll look some more. See what I can find. My Alexander Carter was in the same area. I looked at cemeteries and find a grave.com, but didn't find anything. Who were Thomas's parents? I forget. There are so many Thomases. 3. I'm curious, Leni...I found a William Younger and a John Nall in Williamson County, TN in 1830. Has anyone looked there. According to some information I have, that's where Thomas was when he died in 1834. Did he have a son named William? 3. Brownie.Mary is buried in Utah she and her family followed Brigham Young out west. Thomas would have to be in Tn. I have looked at old cemetery listings at my Genealogical society and other places and still nothing. But you would think....with so many children, something must be recorded somewhere. 3. Brownie, Yes that is where he was when died in October 1834. I have read through hundreds of papers looking for clues. From old books, newspaper archives,etc.etc.And still have not found a single thing.Other than what we already know. So I decided this year to try and find out more.To really button down and focus on him.In the hope I might run across something that mentions his son Joseph.Thomas Younger did have a son William born in 1808 who was five years younger than Joseph. Do you remember what the paper was about that you found ? On William and John Nall ? Thanks again, Leni --------------------------------- Don't get soaked. Believe me I look all the time....reading articles from newspaper archives etc..And I have not found a single one yet...lol 3. What about a headstone or memorial stone for Thomas? Did the family ever do anything ? any stories or family rumors to share ? 3. Yes, Brownie, you're right, BUT, I have seen it both ways, even in that time. In two different cases, the male offspring used both names interchangeably and nearly drove me nuts. In one case, he was the son of a wealthy man who acknowledged him in his will. The other case is our Younger/Gordon person in Halifax Co. So does anyone find a stray Alexander Younger of this time, or an Alexander Dunkan (Duncan probably too)?
