Youngblooders, I think that many of you are forgetting the protocol for effective use of a listserve. It's a great tool for reaching many people with general communications, i.e, general questions, general pearls of wisdom, etc. However, specific messages addressed to individuals should not be sent to the entire list. Send them to the individuals who have responded in interest. Good: Does anyone know about W. X. Youngblood... I just found the book "All American Youngbloods Before 1750", anyone interested in a copy? Bad: Hey, Charlie, would you look up Ivan Youngblood for me. Susan, I think you've done great work on your Youngbloods. Please, let's be a little courteous of the 95% of us who have to scan and delete 98% of the messages.
