Dear cousins, I am spending time in Houston's Clayton Library, Center for Genealogical Research, about 3/4 hours a day. The way I research (at least for the time being) is to peruse every book by State, looking for the surname. Of course, this means that I gather data for every YOUNGBLOOD residing in the State. My proposal is to post my findings each day on the lists, including sources. I hope people will find this beneficial to their own research. I don't know how long I'll continue. If I don't post in the evening, it's because I didn't go on that day. I do, however, want to be up front and say that I am, of course, researching for MY line which happens to be ancestors and descendants of Benjamin YOUNGBLOOD and Susannah COLLINS. I'll title the subject line "YOUNGBLOOD Research." If you do not want to read it, you can simply delete it. I will periodically offer resources that I find and think may be useful. I realize that some of you have been researching for many years and, of all probability, will have much, if not all, of the data I'll post. I am an amateur who happens to love research, particularly genealogy. Hopefully, this will help newer researchers. Finally, if my postings offend anyone for any reason, I apologize now. I find genealogy fascinating. I corresponded with a great aunt (our family's genealogist) for over 35 years and have waited for the time in my life when I, too, could pursue family ties. She has given to me all of her accumulated files. I'm fortunate. Since I've been on the net, I have found people to be very generous; I hope to offer the same. Sincerely, Joyce Zachman, Sugar Land P.S. My first posting will be three days worth of notes
