He grew up in that county and when yet a child, he was orphaned by his father's death, and he was bound out at the age of 13 years by the Inferior Court of Irwin co. to Mrs. Sarah Henderson, widow of Daniel. He m. 1850 Margaret (Peggy) Davis b. 1830 Coffee Co. d. 1908 dau/of James Davis and Elizabeth Peterson. Children: Hulda b. 1851 m. Nathan Grantham Rebecca b. 1853 m. Paul Pallicier John b. 1854 m. He was known as a great hunter and at his death had killed 993 wildcats and other varmints according to his count. In an altercation with John Tanner, Mr. YOUNGBLOOD was killed 24 Feb 1892. Joel D. Narcissus, Elisha B. (b. 2 Nov 1861 m: Nancy YOUNGBLOOD, d/o Elijah), Wiley William, John E. Beady, Martha. The family settled in the southeastern portion of Irwin Co., east side of Alapaha River.
