I am a direct descendant of a Louisiana Youngblood on my maternal side. There are Youngblood's on the Cherokee Rolls and at the Carlisle Indian School. I have Cherokee Blood from at least 4 separate sources in my line. Impossible to figure out the degree that way. I have some of my Youngblood lineage from Georgia to Mississippi to Louisiana. John A. McLeod married Susanna Youngblood Dec 15 1841 in Caddo Parish, daughter of Henry Youngblood and Sarah Harvey. She was born 12 May 1801 Warren Co GA. Married Jan 20 1826 in Marion Co Mississippi, d Feb 1895. Henry was born 12 Sept 1795 Richmond Co GA, d 2 June 1840. From 1860 Census, her brothers and sisters are: Charlie age 29 born Miss. John age 21, born LA. And Mary age 37 born Miss. The mother is listed as age 59 born 1817 GA. Mary Youngblood married Angus Nicholson . She had been married before to N.S. Bosworth and was a widow. She had one child by Bosworth and 7 by Nicholson. Sarah (Harvey) Youngblood recived bounty land in LA for her husbands service in the War of 1812. She also owned land at the time of her death in Sabine Co TX (Hemphill). Go to your library genealogy section and get the book "The Youngblood Family" by Reba Holmes Brown. If you library does not have it, the one in Shrevsport and Houston TX have it. It has the lineages of 30 families and how they come into the Youngblood Line. And Yes the orignail spelling is Jungblut. They are also related to the Baskervilles about whom the book "The Hounds of Baskerville" was written by Sir Aurther Conen Doyle, which is fiction by the way. I have the record from microfilm Ormerod's "History of Cheshire England" with the lineage from the year 1266 to 1637 when they came to America, I have attached the lineage from that time to 1999. You will also find some of that in Reba Holmes Brown's Book There are a lot of living descendants of the Youngblood line in LA at this time. Charlie Royall
