Timothy (and others), This is intriguing. Are these your ancestors, including Eudora A.C. and Isaac L. MCCAIN? If so, we are related through THWEATT, MCCAIN, and possibly YOUNGBLOOD also. My Sarah THWEATT is also a child of Isham and Elizabeth THWEATT. Sarah married William F. YOUNGBLOOD. Their daughter Elizabeth Ann YOUNGBLOOD married Charles Wesley MCCAIN, a brother of Isaac L. MCCAIN, in Lafayette Co, MS. I'm curious about Eudora Ann Celestine. The few stories I have seen give her the surname of Youngblood, not Thweatt, but also say they don't know who her parents are. Yet I have seen a census which makes it appear she is the daughter of a Martha Thweatt. Do you know the story there? Is she a young Youngblood widow when she marries Isaac McCain, perhaps? There are several clues that cause some confusion here. I am inclined to think--though I haven't looked far in my records--that your Martha may be a sister of my William F. YOUNGBLOOD, and therefore possibly a daughter of Amos and Elizabeth YOUNGBLOOD. I don't have proof, but just a clue or two.
