To Gail Youngblood Gallagher: Have the Youngbloods from which you descended always been in PA? My Youngbloods were in TN, KY and MO until after the Civil War when most of them went to Texas. I ask because James Youngblood was a Civil War Surgeon for the Yankees. He was raised in KY and MO. He married a French woman whose family came from VA, and her name was Volumnia Orso Xaupi. They lived in St. Louis after the War until he died, at which time she moved with their children to Texas. One of their sons was named Guy Xavier Youngblood, born in 1866, and he had a son named George Xavier Youngblood in 1910. We do not know the names of all their descendants, and the name Xavier may have been passed on to other male descendants in this family. The descendants we know about lived out their lives in Texas. Could there be a connection? Beverly Rich
