I have been going through old Royall information that I had not looked at in over 20 years and found another Youngblood connection that I have never researched on the Youngblood side. In a letter written by Mrs. T.V. Newell of Matagorda (TX) on Dec 12 1849 she mentions a new school that just opened in Matagorda under the Supertendant Rev. R.W. Kennon and Lady. The "Lady" member of this couple was Mrs. Elizabeth Julia Kennon, formerly Miss, Julia Elizabeth Mills (Jan 19 1809-Nov 18 1867) Daughter of Thomas Griffith Mills and Eliza Diana Humphry, his wife. Elizabeth Julia Mills married first THOMAS YOUNGBLOOD, MD. on June 24 1830, second Rev R.W. Kennon (Jan 25 1813-Jan 1 1881). Issue from first marriage, a daughter, ELIZA MEDORA YOUNGBLOOD, (Aug 28 1833-Dec 16 1877). ELIZA MEDORA YOUNGBLOOD married WILLIAM BIB ROYALL (Jan 3 1826-Nov 8 1901) in Matagorda, Texas May 9 1850 by the Rev. R.W. Kennon, her stepfather. William had a plantation at Chapel Hill, TX. We have letters (copies) that she wrote just after the Civil War. So now I have another Y puzzle to figure out! Charlie Royall San Angelo, TX
