    3. My late Father-in-Law, Claud Youngblood, was born April 5,1892 before Ok became a state, in the Cherrokee Strip.I was told he was half Osage Indian. His 3 children were tall, high cheekbones, 2 daughters and 1 son.his Father was Joseph Youngblood and his Mother's name was Amanda.Amanda died in a Nursing Home in Santa Cruise, Ca in 1950'5,in her 90's. Joseph and his family lived close to Cement,Caddo Co., Ok in 1916 where Claud married Ina Katherine Elliott shortly before her 16th birthday. They were married March 13,1916. Also married at the same time was Claud's brother Ted 21 to Pearl Pendleton 19.Both girls probably lied about their age. I know Ina did. She said she was 19 also. The small town of Laverty is where the Youngblood's lived. The other children of Joseph and Amanda (that I know about) are William,Ted, Jody and Neut. Neut( I may be spelling it wrong)at age 17 or 18 killed a man for killing his dog and went to prison. His mother was working on getting him released when his father encouraged him to escape. He was killed during the attempt to escape. He is buried in the Chickasha,Grady Co.,Ok Cem.You can 't read his marker because it was made out of limestone and has deteriorated. There is a Youngblood Headstone. Also in that plot are graves as follows;Crissie son of Im & Ma Youngblood. Born-Sept 25,1897. Died Feb 21,1900 also Ida daughter of I.M. & M.A. born 1880 & died Jan 7, 1900.Claud stayed in Ok and farmed but most of the rest went to California ( I don't know when) Claud & Ina went to Ca in 1937 and returned to Cement sometime during the war years (1942-1944). Their oldest daughter Lilly Bea married Carl Hall. She was born 1917 and their son L.D. youngblood was born Oct 5 1920, in Texas. The younger daughter Barbara was born 1937( maybe in Ca.)The Youngblood's (men, esp)had a big problem with alcohol and several committed suicide while drunk.Joseph feeling remorse for leaving a sick wife to go on a binge, shot himself on returning home. One son was paralized from drinking bad moonshine. So much for the bad stuff. I could go on. In the 1910 census I did'nt find any Youngblood's in Cement but in Anadarko, Caddo Co, Ok (17 miles away) I found J.M. Youngblood, male, white,54, Ark.Emma,wife,37,Ind Cora,daug,21,Mo & Bula, daug,17,Mo.I hope I have helped someone and they can also help me.Claud & Ina were living in Tx in 1920 when L.D. was born. The Courthouse burned and he had to use a copy from the census of 1930 to prove his age for the draft.I belive Joseph had a sister named Celia Moore. I believe Joseph's middle inital was M.After relooking at some notes taken about 8 yrs ago I came across these notes.J.M. Youngblood 48 born in Arkansas married Emma Chase 31 born in Ind.May 03,1905. Both live in Anadarko, Ok Territory.Issac F. Youngblood 36, Anadarko married Mary Mc Bride 26 of Provendence, R.I.July 23,1917. J.M.'s will in 1925 named his children; Isaac Franklin, pauline Anna Rector, Clara Carson, & Eula Youngblood. Notes said they J.M.& wife Emma died in 1925.It also says they owned a Music Co with other people. There was a list of the people who owed them in the will filled. I'm sure I got this at the Chickasha Courthouse, Grady Co.Ok.Betty Angle
