I have information at odds with what was posted in regard to Abraham Youngblood. Please consider the following and let me know what you think. Abraham Youngblood, b. abt 1769, d. Sept. 1, 1847 in Sumter Co., GA married Amey McNeil, daughter of Daniel and Sarah McNeil. Abraham was the son of John Miles Youngblood, Jr. and Mary ? In about 1774, John Y., Jr. received a grant for 300 acres on Little Kiokee Cr. in what is now Columbia Co., GA. and he later acquired additional land on the same creek. On 8 Aug 1801, John, Jr. transferrred part of these two surveys to Abraham and his wife Amey. In 1804, Abraham sold that land to John Allen, and in the deed states "including the former residence of my father, John Youngblood." Amey relinquished her dower rights to this property. This was the land on Little Kiokee Cr. Joshua Youngblood, a brother of Abraham also married a McNeil girl, Catherine, a sister of Amey. Abraham and Amey had the following children: Rebecca, Elizabeth, Maria, Henry Burl (my ancestor), Hiram D., Matilda, and Thornton M. I know this is terribly at odds with what was posted recently. I would really like to have the sources on the children listed and the parentage of Abraham. He states clearly in the deed who his father was, and there is no doubt about his wife at the time of the property transfer. Not trying to argue here, but real interested in getting all this straight -- again. Looking forward to hearing from all of you guys. Sara Youngblood
