Does anyone know anything at all about Soloman Youngblood who died in the Goliad massacre in 1836? I saw his name on the monument over the mass grave where 380 men, murdered by Santa Anna, were buried. Some research has turned up his company, which was company #1 of the georgia battalian, under Captain William Wadsworth and later Company #3 under Captain James Winn. Both of these captains were from georgia, and the Georgia Battalian consisted mostly of men from Georgia and Alabama. A few Mississippi and Louisiana men may have been added as the group traveled from Georgia to Texas.
