I am not going to be much help to you, I don't think. Since that letter mine, copied below, have been in touch with Wayne Youngblood of KY who is definitely supposed to be my kin, and he denies both the red headedness of most of our Youngbloods, and also the Indian heritage. His Aunt wrote the old Genealogy book that has all my family in it. The story I have from known kin matches pretty much what that book says, and that story is that our William Youngblood was b. in SC, migrated to Green County, TN where he m. Elizabeth Garrett, and after they had a few children there, they migrated to Graves County, KY where they had a few more children, and then they moved to Bollinger County, MO where they stayed. Their 5 sons were involved in the Civil War, and afterwards the 3 who fought for the South moved to TX. One Union Cavalry son was killed in the War, (my great great grandfather, Alfred), and the other Union officer son, was a surgeon, and he practiced medicine after the war in St. Louis, MO where he died in his 40's. His widow and family went on to live in TX. One of Wm. and Elizabeth's daughters m. and stayed in Bollinger County, and the other two we don't know anything about. No one that we know about either came from, or went to GA at any time. Later, as you continue with your research, if any of this seems familiar, I will be happy to commissurate with you again. Good luck! This old book about my family does mentions hundreds of kinfolk, but not one ever went to GA. They went to AL, TX, MS, and LS, but not Georgia. My advice to you is to write an E-Mail inquiry to: Youngblood-L@rootsweb.com. Tell briefly what you know of your family history. Lots of Youngbloods with GA. roots have written to this web site, and someone is bound to be able to help you. One of the best Youngblood researchers, named Dorothy Quaife, subscribes to this website, and she often knows who belongs to whom.
