    2. Cozette Dinius
    3. I swear, there must be 2 1/2 Youngbloods left in all the US. I belong to several other lists, and this is the quietest list. Your post to give us a forwarded address is the most action this place has seen in a week. What exactly is everyone on the lists purpose, does that sound like a dumb question? Well, I feel pretty dumb at the moment, I do not even have a first name for my Youngblood. He was in Alabama late 1800's married to Freddie Raley (female) and moved to Louisana - the dates went kind of along the lines of the Cherokee Trail of Tears. I've been told Youngblood is a Cherokee name. Does anyone know the heritage?? Coz dmx7@earthlink.net Some of the other family names are Ruth & Mabel Tucker, James & Elmer Raley On another side of the family is: Chapman, Allen, Denner, Benner, Ayers, Tschantz, Striggle, Snider, Souder, (Dene) (Bonner) (Eyre) (Schantz) There are assorted Millers, Cox (maybe), Grope, grope. Do any of these names beside Youngblood sound familiar?

    3. Jim Musgrave, Thanks for your post about Youngblood name and sight for books. I have YOUNGBLOOD family out of SC>Al>?. Family lore being they traded with and married Native American. Unfortunately all older ones are gone and have not been able to prove anything so far. These were only whispered about as I guess they were trying to conceal the fact. Have wished a million times that I had been interested at a younger age and verified all these things I am so diligently searching for now. Regards, Gail Hare

    3. I found 1Youngblood listed in the surname index of a rare old Cherokee genealogy book at http://members.aol.com/rarebk At the site, they have the surname index of this rare old Cherokee genealogy book called "Old Cherokee Families and Their Genealogy," with lots of English names, they have posted the 1835 Cherokee census, and a Cherokee genealogy tutorial that shows you how to conduct effective Cherokee genealogy research. Also, they have posted the full index of a book that shows people who sued in the 1800's for Cherokee citizenship. Once at the site, go to BOOKLISTS, then scroll down till you see the books. For the tutorial, it will be about halfway down the page, and then you can invoke it. The 1835 Cherokee census is posted within the tutorial. I am interested in researching the family history of the Youngblood also - to establish roots for my children. Thanks! Please respond to: Linda.McNamee @ JUNO.com
