    2. Sara Youngblood
    3. Dee, Dr. Samuel J. Youngblood was the son of Daniel Youngblood who was brother to Richard's A. John. Both were sons of Joshua. I have Daniel's wife as Lucretia Watson, however. I do NOT show an Anna Youngblood as his wife and mother of Samuel. Sure would like to share info with you. Sara

    3. Richard, We're definitely from the same line of Youngbloods. Your A. John Youngblood's father was Joshua whose brother Abraham was forefather of my children. In fact, Joshua and Abraham married McNeil sisters. I have lots of info on this line if you are interested in sharing. Sara

    2. Dee Villere
    3. Hi Folks! With all the new Youngblood activity, I thought I would throw my questions into the hat too. I have very little information about these folks at all, but here goes. I'm searching for an Anna E. R. Youngblood (wife of ?) her children were N. R. Youngblood, R. A. L. Youngblood and Dr. Samuel J. Youngblood. Anna Was remarried on September 2, 1852 to Paul J. Harvin in (St. Helena Parish) Greensburg, Louisiana. Dr Samuel was a doctor during the Civil War and was married to Rhoda (?). They are buried in the Youngblood Cemetery, Third Ward, St. Helena Parish, Louisiana BUT. . . . . . . Someone has gone in with a bulldozer and knocked down most of the headstones. I would love to know more of this Youngblood line. If anyone has a connection or any ideas that may help me please let me hear from you. ( The information on the Youngblood Cemetery can be found on La. Rootsweb) Thanks much!! Dee Villere Port Allen, Louisiana ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/la/sthelena/cemeteries/yblood.txt

    3. Wado Jimbo, I'm such a novice at all this. Do I just click on the "address" you sent? I sure need a tutorial as to HOW to search EFFECTIVELY. I never even HEARD of people suing for Cherokee citizenship. Why did they do that, I thought in the 1800's you didn't have to PROVE you were Cherokee. Are we talking the blood-quantum thing? Or what? Thank you. You people are all a great help. Do you all know each other ? Each other's genealogy? You know, I forgot to list the little casual chatline about the greenbeans and such. 3. I am very interested in trying to sort out OK YOUNGBLOODS circa 1875 or so. On the off chance that some TX YOUNGBLOODS ended up migrating that way, I would like to get any information that anyone thinks might fit these timeframes. My end result would be to find the unknown YOUNGBLOOD that married my g-grandmother c 1875 or so near old Fort Arbuckle, OK. **Candace

    3. Dear Charlie & Nancy, Wado. This is more information in a minute than I've had all my life, thank you for the directions to follow. What did you mean though about "I have attached the lineage from that time (1266-1637) to 1999." You have your genealogy traced through all those years? That must have taken a lifetime. Were your Indian ancestors hard for you to trace, or did you have a better "paper" trail to follow than some of us? I am really excited about all this info. Thank you so much. I live in Sacramento CA now, but was raised in Indiana, lived at Dauphin, AL for a little while in the 70's, and am planning to move back to Mississippi area in about a year when I (I am a latent student) and my daughters finish with community college out here. I miss the good ol' home town people. Cup of coffee on the front porch people. Know what I mean? See you in about a year. 3. Dear Jean, This is so good, we are beginning to speak with each other and hopefully we'll get the job done. There are a lot of unknowns for a lot of reasons, especially if there is Native American blood lines. Especially if involved intermarriages. Especially, since a lot of people couldn't read or write very well and spelled things phonetically. Some of the census records were destroyed by fire. One was not always proud of their Indian heritage back then, they would say they were "black dutch" or something to blend-in with culture etc. Some did not want to go on the Trail of Tears, so they kind of "disappeared". The census takers were not all that great back then and traveling was difficult. Let's see, if your Isabella ? would have married my ? Youngblood, we would have an ancestor with a name lol. Gotta get some humor going here, or we'll all cry. Sometimes, marriages were not always a product of love, we have some people now on the Cherokee list that are saying their ggrandmother was purchased for 2 hogs. Goodness! Thank you for your response. I have had many responses since a couple days ago, it is wonderful !! Now, I'm beginning to believe I really do have a family out there someplace. It is a good feeling. May I post your letter on the Cherokee list and see what happens? Thanks again - hope everyone remains in touch - 'tis GOOD Coz dmx7@earthlink.net

    2. Charles & Nancy Royall
    3. I am a direct descendant of a Louisiana Youngblood on my maternal side. There are Youngblood's on the Cherokee Rolls and at the Carlisle Indian School. I have Cherokee Blood from at least 4 separate sources in my line. Impossible to figure out the degree that way. I have some of my Youngblood lineage from Georgia to Mississippi to Louisiana. John A. McLeod married Susanna Youngblood Dec 15 1841 in Caddo Parish, daughter of Henry Youngblood and Sarah Harvey. She was born 12 May 1801 Warren Co GA. Married Jan 20 1826 in Marion Co Mississippi, d Feb 1895. Henry was born 12 Sept 1795 Richmond Co GA, d 2 June 1840. From 1860 Census, her brothers and sisters are: Charlie age 29 born Miss. John age 21, born LA. And Mary age 37 born Miss. The mother is listed as age 59 born 1817 GA. Mary Youngblood married Angus Nicholson . She had been married before to N.S. Bosworth and was a widow. She had one child by Bosworth and 7 by Nicholson. Sarah (Harvey) Youngblood recived bounty land in LA for her husbands service in the War of 1812. She also owned land at the time of her death in Sabine Co TX (Hemphill). Go to your library genealogy section and get the book "The Youngblood Family" by Reba Holmes Brown. If you library does not have it, the one in Shrevsport and Houston TX have it. It has the lineages of 30 families and how they come into the Youngblood Line. And Yes the orignail spelling is Jungblut. They are also related to the Baskervilles about whom the book "The Hounds of Baskerville" was written by Sir Aurther Conen Doyle, which is fiction by the way. I have the record from microfilm Ormerod's "History of Cheshire England" with the lineage from the year 1266 to 1637 when they came to America, I have attached the lineage from that time to 1999. You will also find some of that in Reba Holmes Brown's Book There are a lot of living descendants of the Youngblood line in LA at this time. Charlie Royall
