    2. Prudence Youngblood
    3. My name is Prudence Youngblood. I am not sure if this is the correct place to post my information. If this is not the correct place, let me know. My husband is descended from Rubin Youngblood, (living in 1854 but not on the census of Dec. 1860) He came from England via Charleston and settled in the Fletcher,NC area of Hooper's Creek. His children were William (Billy), Jasper Newton, Joseph, Rubin Pinkney, Sarah, and Mary. My husband descended from William (Billy). I would be interested in hearing from anyone who knows more about this branch of Youngbloods. We too have heard that there is an Indian connection, but I have not found any evidence of it. Thanks, Prudence Youngblood e-mail address, PrudiY@carol.net

    3. Walt, What little research I've managed to accomplish seems to indicate that Ellis Island was the entry point for the family for many years. I wonder if we could gain additional information through those records? 1. [YOUNGBLOOD-L] Youngblood immigrations?
    2. Walter Gilbert
    3. Youngblooders, I have noticed while digging thru early Youngblood information that there appears to be three separate Youngblood immigrations. While it's hard to pin down a port of entry (has anyone traced any Youngbloods back to original immigrants?), it appears that there is the northern group (appearing to start in PA), a middle group (centered on SC), and a southern group (clustered around LA). Of course, this could be one family that just "exploded" when it arrived. Has anyone else noticed this? 3. Sandy & other cousins, By all means, please get your relative to join us and don't worry about how she does it. We have some great researchers on this list (Dorothy, to name one) and we can always use more. To have a good discussion group, we must be free to post, share and discuss our findings. Through recent postings I've been fortunate enough to find some new, really nice cousins, but also questions have been raised about some of the data we've shared. It seems to me that through comparing, contrasting, debating and more research we can ultimately arrive at the truth. This, of course, has to be done without malice for the result to be fruitful. I, for one, am eager to hear about differences in information we may have, and I'm certainly not offended when someone disagrees. How else can we ever discover accurate information. Bring her on, Sandy. Most of us are NOT sitting in judgement. We just want to know about our Youngblood heritage. Sara P.S. Jackie, you've done a remarkable service to the list with your research at Clayton. We really appreciate your sharing and the time you're spending for all of us.

    3. Dear Family and Friends, I have a mistery in my Youngblood line in Georgia. No one knows anything about my great grand father Eugene A. Youngblood. (No one even knew his name other than "E.A." or "Gus" until today when I found him in the 1920 GA Census Worth County; Vol 107; ED 152; Sheet 2 Line 74. He was born Abt. Jan 6, 1858 and died between 1938-1948 (differing accounts so far). He was married to Permelia (Permealy) Meadows Youngblood b. 1865. known children are: John Green Youngblood Feb 11, 1889 d. Jan 22 1959 (My line); Eula 1900 ; Annie May 1902; Eugene 1904;( and maybe Elbert, Gertrude, Emma and Ezra) . Eurene A. Youngblood SR is the mystery. He may have had a brother "John I" and another "Lon" who a tail said he was killed by lightnig stricking him on the front porch. No one alive in my line knows anything else. I am stumped and can not get to georgia to look for several months. I would appreciate any and all the help you can give me on this. John Green Youngblood married Johnnie Waters b. Jan 6, 1899 who was the daughter of John L. Waters b. 1866 and Fannie L. Goodman b. May 1870. The Counties I know are Worth County, Turner County, Dooly County in South GA. 2. Dear Cousins, I didn't have time to make it to the Clayton Library today. However, while browsing... I ran across this gem. This is the words of William YOUNGBLOOD, of Alabama concerning his personal experience at Gettysburg. (Oh, how I wish he were MY William!) 1. [YOUNGBLOOD-L] Strict List Protocols
    2. Sandy Youngblood
    3. For those with no time or patience that are judgmental of "good" & "bad" list etiquette, hit delete key now. Friends and family, I've been on this list for quite awhile now, but this is my first post. In light of the recent flurry of info to this list, I wanted to get my sis in law to subscribe since she's done considerable research on the Youngblood family name. However, she is new to computers, therefore new to net and unfamiliar with lists & "list etiquette" and would quickly be admonished for her posting style by the few who are intolerant of those who stray outside the strict "protocols." But the fact remains, she's done considerable research and I'm sure has something to share, a puzzle piece you are looking for. How do I involve her in this list when she's a newbie to all of this and would more than likely fail to post something that meets with "list etiquette protocols" and therefore be wide open to criticism and scolding? I married James Edward Youngblood from Sparta TN, his family is still there. We're in Michigan. There is a Young/Youngblood connection since his mother's maiden name was Young when she married his father, Sol Emmett Youngblood. There is also a cemetery in Gum Spring Mtn TN, it's the "Young" cemetery but Youngbloods are buried there. There is a definite Cherokee blood line in our family. My sis-in-law has all the details. When the list activity sped up and so much info was flowing in, I knew I had to get her to be a part of this for everyone's sake. It's clear the list has slowed to a crawl because someone was incensed by a few "bad" posts in their opinion. I truly hate to see this happen. Now it appears people are not posting for fear their "list etiquette protocols" doesn't meet with approval, so we all lose the potential to find that puzzle piece we're looking for. My sis in law is in TN, I'm in MI, it's not like I can run down the street and give her a crash course in posting to a list and adhering to "strict list protocols." I'll gladly take any suggestions on how to get all of her research info to you all. Feel free to email me directly so as to not "clutter" the list. Thanks so much, Sandy Youngblood syb650@voyager.net

    2. Cousins, I've gone through the Georgia books on "general data." Clayton Library has a rather large section devoted to GA. If you have a GA connection, I'm willing to look up your line one day next week. PLEASE understand, this if for a SPECIFIC county in GEORGIA only (another state another time). There is no guarantee Clayton has the info you search in their county-specific books. However, I'm willing to look through the books they do have and see if your line is mentioned. To avoid cluttering the list, E-mail me directly (Adoptworks@aol.com) with your request. However, I'll post the results on the list because there may be more than one request for the same county. Regards, Joyce Zachman, Sugar Land, TX
