    3. I can't believe this, but we may have a match here. My Alfred Youngblood was born in 1829, according to my documents. He married Mary Jane Williams on May 30, 1850 in Graves County, KY, dau. of Bryant Williams. She was born on Dec. 26, 1828 in KY. Her mother may have been a Lucy Youngblood. Alfred and Mary Jane had 6 daughters and one son. Their daughters were Elizabeth Elvina (my great grandmother), b. Oct. 13, 1852; Nancy Elvira, b. Jan 17, 1854; Sarah Louisa Mandani, b. Feb. 25, 1857, who was called "Dani", and is said to have Never Married, Barbara Susan, b. Dec. 19, 1859; Mary Eliza, b. Apr. 29, 1861; and California A., b. Aug 18, 1863. Their son was Hardy Bryant Youngblood, or Bryant Hardy Youngblood, b. Mar 3, 1851. According to my records, Sarah Louisa Mandani Youngblood d. Dec. 9, 1938, and was buried in Trinity Cemetery, Graves County, KY. After Alfred was killed in 1864 during a Civil War battle at Patterson, MO, Mary Jane left MO. with the children and returned to Graves County, KY. Mary Jane died there on May 2, 1884, and is bur. in Trinity Cem., which used to be Melrose Cem., and is 4 miles No. of Mayfield on Highway 45. Hardy m. Maggie V. M. Chapman, they lived in Newton County, MO, and he died there while his children were still young, possibly in Rocky Comfort, MO, or nearby. She remarried a James Smith. Elizabeth Elvina died Jan 11, 1884, the day after her 6th and 7th children were born in Rocky Comfort, MO. These were twin boys, and one of them was my grandfather, Frederick Reasor. Elizabeth Elvina m. 1) James Wm. Caldwell, and 2) William Smith Reasor, a Methodist minister. We don't know what happened to Nancy Elvira. Barbara Susan m. 1) Harry Wall, and 2) Wm. W. Holifield, and probably moved to Paragould, AR. She died April 2, 1946. Mary Eliza m. _______Davis. California A. m. Robert W. Wilkerson. That's about all I know about this family, except that I do know who Alfred's parents and siblings were, and if we match, I will send to you all the information I have in my computer about this Youngblood family, and would appreciate having any information that you have. 3. My late Father-in-Law, Claud Youngblood, was born April 5,1892 before Ok became a state, in the Cherrokee Strip.I was told he was half Osage Indian. His 3 children were tall, high cheekbones, 2 daughters and 1 son.his Father was Joseph Youngblood and his Mother's name was Amanda.Amanda died in a Nursing Home in Santa Cruise, Ca in 1950'5,in her 90's. Joseph and his family lived close to Cement,Caddo Co., Ok in 1916 where Claud married Ina Katherine Elliott shortly before her 16th birthday. They were married March 13,1916. Also married at the same time was Claud's brother Ted 21 to Pearl Pendleton 19.Both girls probably lied about their age. I know Ina did. She said she was 19 also. The small town of Laverty is where the Youngblood's lived. The other children of Joseph and Amanda (that I know about) are William,Ted, Jody and Neut. Neut( I may be spelling it wrong)at age 17 or 18 killed a man for killing his dog and went to prison. His mother was working on getting him released when his father encouraged him to escape. He was killed during the attempt to escape. He is buried in the Chickasha,Grady Co.,Ok Cem.You can 't read his marker because it was made out of limestone and has deteriorated. There is a Youngblood Headstone. Also in that plot are graves as follows;Crissie son of Im & Ma Youngblood. Born-Sept 25,1897. Died Feb 21,1900 also Ida daughter of I.M. & M.A. born 1880 & died Jan 7, 1900.Claud stayed in Ok and farmed but most of the rest went to California ( I don't know when) Claud & Ina went to Ca in 1937 and returned to Cement sometime during the war years (1942-1944). Their oldest daughter Lilly Bea married Carl Hall. She was born 1917 and their son L.D. youngblood was born Oct 5 1920, in Texas. The younger daughter Barbara was born 1937( maybe in Ca.)The Youngblood's (men, esp)had a big problem with alcohol and several committed suicide while drunk.Joseph feeling remorse for leaving a sick wife to go on a binge, shot himself on returning home. One son was paralized from drinking bad moonshine. So much for the bad stuff. I could go on. In the 1910 census I did'nt find any Youngblood's in Cement but in Anadarko, Caddo Co, Ok (17 miles away) I found J.M. Youngblood, male, white,54, Ark.Emma,wife,37,Ind Cora,daug,21,Mo & Bula, daug,17,Mo.I hope I have helped someone and they can also help me.Claud & Ina were living in Tx in 1920 when L.D. was born. The Courthouse burned and he had to use a copy from the census of 1930 to prove his age for the draft.I belive Joseph had a sister named Celia Moore. I believe Joseph's middle inital was M.After relooking at some notes taken about 8 yrs ago I came across these notes.J.M. Youngblood 48 born in Arkansas married Emma Chase 31 born in Ind.May 03,1905. Both live in Anadarko, Ok Territory.Issac F. Youngblood 36, Anadarko married Mary Mc Bride 26 of Provendence, R.I.July 23,1917. J.M.'s will in 1925 named his children; Isaac Franklin, pauline Anna Rector, Clara Carson, & Eula Youngblood. Notes said they J.M.& wife Emma died in 1925.It also says they owned a Music Co with other people. There was a list of the people who owed them in the will filled. I'm sure I got this at the Chickasha Courthouse, Grady Co.Ok.Betty Angle

    3. I am not going to be much help to you, I don't think. Since that letter mine, copied below, have been in touch with Wayne Youngblood of KY who is definitely supposed to be my kin, and he denies both the red headedness of most of our Youngbloods, and also the Indian heritage. His Aunt wrote the old Genealogy book that has all my family in it. The story I have from known kin matches pretty much what that book says, and that story is that our William Youngblood was b. in SC, migrated to Green County, TN where he m. Elizabeth Garrett, and after they had a few children there, they migrated to Graves County, KY where they had a few more children, and then they moved to Bollinger County, MO where they stayed. Their 5 sons were involved in the Civil War, and afterwards the 3 who fought for the South moved to TX. One Union Cavalry son was killed in the War, (my great great grandfather, Alfred), and the other Union officer son, was a surgeon, and he practiced medicine after the war in St. Louis, MO where he died in his 40's. His widow and family went on to live in TX. One of Wm. and Elizabeth's daughters m. and stayed in Bollinger County, and the other two we don't know anything about. No one that we know about either came from, or went to GA at any time. Later, as you continue with your research, if any of this seems familiar, I will be happy to commissurate with you again. Good luck! This old book about my family does mentions hundreds of kinfolk, but not one ever went to GA. They went to AL, TX, MS, and LS, but not Georgia. My advice to you is to write an E-Mail inquiry to: Youngblood-L@rootsweb.com. Tell briefly what you know of your family history. Lots of Youngbloods with GA. roots have written to this web site, and someone is bound to be able to help you. One of the best Youngblood researchers, named Dorothy Quaife, subscribes to this website, and she often knows who belongs to whom. James Youngblood, Edgefield, has one female under 10. 3. Rachel Youngblood, Abbeville, has two females under 10. Any information that can help narrow the field would be appreciated. Jean

If you are a descendant of Benjamin YOUNGBLOOD and Susannah COLLINS, would you please contact me. I have 2,900+ names in my data base and want to fill in the gaps. The data I currently have is, all of the second generation - their b. & d. dates; I believe I have all of the third generation; I have a great deal of the fourth generation; then it begins to thin out with a smattering of descendants of some and none of others. Typical. Regards, Joyce Zachman, Sugar Land, TX

Subj: JUNGBLUTH Date: 9/15/99 8:29:50 PM Central Daylight Time From: CAROL2433 To: YOUNGBLOOD-L@rootsweb.co CC: motowngrl@worldnet.att.net My Frederick Wilhelm Jungbluth immigrated from Germany to this country and then used Youngblood for his last name. He was born in Koblentz, Germany on April 29, 1829 and died in St. Marys, Pottawatomie County, Kansas on April 23, 1899. Sometime after he, he came to Dane, Dane County, Wisconsin and married Anna Maria Zeimet in 1863. Together they moved to St. Marys, Kansas in 1874. Anna returned to Dane, Wisconsin in 1905 after Frederick's death. She died in 1917 and is buried in St. Michael's Cemetery, Dane, Wisconsin. Frederick and Anna had five children: Andrew Youngblood, b. abt. 1869, d. Feb 3, 1918 John J. Youngblood, b. Mar 25, 1868, d. 1-21-1954 Joseph Youngblood, b. about 1870, d.Oct 19, 1945 Charles H. Don't know anything about Fredericks siblings, however. If anyone wishes more information about Fred and Anna's children and their families, please contact me and I will let you know what information I have. Carol

    1. [YOUNGBLOOD-L] Jungbluth?
    2. Daniela O'Connor
    3. I have subscribed to this list because my ancestors' name translated from German is Youngblood. I am really looking for Jungbluths who came to the US from what was then the Austro-Hungarian Empire, specifically the Batscka, Vojvodina of Yugoslavia. I know of at least two who came at different times about 1911. Nicholaus Jungbluth came with his wife, Elisabetha Bladt, and settled in Lincoln Park, Michigan until his death about 1946. His wife died in the 1950's. They had three children, Robert, Rudy and Elizabeth. Robert played in a symphony orchestra somewhere in California and I think died there. Nicholaus's sister, either Theresia or Elizabetha, also came to the states. I believe she lived in the New York area, married an Italian man and had three children and died at a relatively early age. Before he died, Nicholaus also helped his only brother, Martin, who was about 15 years younger and married, to start a life in Michigan also. Martin died in 1936 in Michigan. Any info on Jungbluths that might match my family would be most appreciated. I have not been able to locate anyone. Thanks. Daniela

    3. Does anyone know anything at all about Soloman Youngblood who died in the Goliad massacre in 1836? I saw his name on the monument over the mass grave where 380 men, murdered by Santa Anna, were buried. Some research has turned up his company, which was company #1 of the georgia battalian, under Captain William Wadsworth and later Company #3 under Captain James Winn. Both of these captains were from georgia, and the Georgia Battalian consisted mostly of men from Georgia and Alabama. A few Mississippi and Louisiana men may have been added as the group traveled from Georgia to Texas.

    3. Dear Youngblood Family, Does anyone know of a John Youngblood born around 1789 in Georgia? If so please send me a note. My Elbert/Albert is first found in Houston Co GA Census in 1850 at 29 years old. If he married on Jan 02, 1942 to Eliza Woodward then the Youngbloods there could be his relatives. Henry and John were the other Male Adults in Houston County that I have found in 1850 Census. Henry(40) lived two dwelling from Elber/Albert and John. After study I believe John Youngblood was 61 years old and living in the house of Albert/Elbert. John could very well be the father of ELbert. John and AlbertElbert both say they were born in Georgia. That means John was born about 1789 in Georgia. That narrow the field. Do you know of John born around that time? Thanks, Benny Youngblood byoungblood@compuserve.com

There is bio for Arthur Simkins b. 12 Mar 1819, s/o Eldred, gr s/o Arthur Simkins, Sr, br-on-law of Andrew Pickens Butler and Francis Wilkinson Pickens. Apparently, this Arthur did not fare as well as his gr father or his father either. He was in "poor finanacial straits and had sold his share to Francis W. Pickens who wrtoe on that date to James Edward Calhous that ' Arthur was far more in debt that I thought he was. He was entirely unable to take the place at all, and he freely told me so a week before the sale ... Arthur was in great distress. I then determined to make him safe. I let him take 3,192 ac of land in MS on the Yazoo R. at the lowest valuation ... Gave him 41,000 in cash, gave him a home and place to work for a year ... I think that Arthur has got from me about $12,000 .. if he cannot now recover his lost fortune by it, I am done with him for ever and have told him so. My children will not allow me to help him again. I hav edone for him as if he were my own blood brother, but can do no more. I cannot bear his wife (Mary Bonham, d/o John Whitsel Bonham and Sarah Pou with whom Arthur had one child before Mary d. 21 Mar 1845) and shall certainly advise him to go to MS ... Arthur didn't go to MS Other than the fact that his uncle by marriage (George Youngblood m. Nancy Simkins, sister to Arthur's father, Eldred) is a Youngblood, there is no other connection in this biography brief. Personally came Nancy Jane YOUNGBLOOD before me and deposed on oath that the following is a true statement of the cause which led to her assault on Sarah White and to which she has pleaded guilty at the present term of Court. that her husband, William A. YOUNGBLOOD was a carpenter employed by the contractor at the tunnel in this district, that then indigence required her to labor with her own hands to aid in the support of the family consisting of three small children. that she with the consent of her husband opened a boarding house at the tunnel for the laborers on the work, that she did nearly all the cooking and washing for from ten to twenty five boarders. .. she hired a woman who called herself Sarah Busclark, that after the woman had been in her employ about two or three weeks she learned that her true name was Sarah White and that she was a loose woman. That at the expiration of her month she dismissed said Sarah. That the manner of her husband changed very much towards her about the time the woman left and insisted that Sarah White should be retained. She would not assent. ... she learned that her husband was constantly visiting Sarah ... this deponent had rendered in her board bill to the contractors amounting to $124 for board and washing for laborers. Her husband ... engaged board for Sarah ... he was to take Sarah, steal away the oldest child and go to South America to work on a contract to build a railroad. (Nancy) sent to the office of the contractors to get bread and meat for herself and family, ... messenger returned saying that nothing was due this deponent. She didn't eat from Sunday till Thursday. Was satisfied that Sarah White was the cause of her want, shame and distribution. She counnselled (sic) several friends all of whom advised her to give Sarah a good whipping with the hickory. (NOTE: Which she did!) ... her husband has returned to his home and has treated her with a tenderness, kindness and consideration worthy of his duties and obligations. ... she throws herself upon the clemency of the court ... sworn 20 Mar 1860. /s/ Nancy Jane YOUNGBLOOD. Ambrose J. Smith states that he has known Mrs. YOUNGBLOOD from her infancy and that she herself has for many years past been a member of the Methodist Church. James Lawrence and F. N. Garvin made oath that Sarah White is reported to be a common prostitute. Simeon YOUNGBLOOD. Deed Bk B, p60. Probate Judge Office, Pickens, SC.
