My Youngs came from Virginia (probably Prince Edward County) in the early 1800's. Two of them married the daughters of John and Elizabeth Hill Grinter. They lived in Logan and Butler Counties in Kentucky. 1. John Young married Jane "Jenny" Grinter. 2. William Young married Elizabeth Grinter. John and Jane Grinter Young are my direction line, but am interested in the other family as well. John and Jane Grinter Young had at least two sons (John Henry Young and William B. Young). John Henry married (1st Margaret Ewing in Butler County, KY, 2nd Susan Britt in Logan County, KY, and 3rd Sarah A. Mills in Bates County, MO). William B. married Florence Porter Ewing, the sister of Margaret above. Both of these families moved to McLean County, Illinois in the early 1850's. William and Florence died and are buried in McLean County. John Henry left Illinois after the Civil War and moved to Bates County, Missouri where he married for the third time and later died. Children of John Henry Young and Margaret Ewing: 1. Sarah A. Young. Born ca 1839 in Logan County, KY. 2. John William Young (1841-1915). Married Mary Jane Moore Ewing, the widow of John Henry Ewing. Would you have any info about the parents or siblings of the John Young that married Jane Grintner. My Samuel Young spent some time in Montgomery coVA prior to 1780 and was in Logan co KY for a period of time between 1802 and 1810. I would not be surprised to find relatives in either county.
