Looking for anyone researching this Reuben Young and his wife Ann Whorton. It is believed that they were members of the "Traveling Church" that left Virginia in about 1787 and moved to Jessamine County, Kentucky. Reuben and Ann much later moved to Missouri with some of their children. Reuben died in Boone County, Missouri and Ann returned to Kentucky where she died in Greenup County. Reuben and Ann had children John Young, b. about 1764 in Virginia, Married Mary Moore John became a Baptist minister and raised a family of girls in Greenup County, Kentucky. Lewis Young, b. about 1786, possibly in Kentucky, married Betsy Thompson 8/8/1803 in Fayette Co., KY Lewis had one known son Reuben, b. about 1804, may have had sons John M. and Robert. Lewis moved to Missouri with Reuben Joel Young, b. about 1788, m. Mary Gibboney 1/22/1808, Woodford Co., Kentucky Nothing else is known about Joel except that he was living in 1850 and in the Woodford County census Lucy Whorton Young, b. about 1791, m. James Wharton (?) about 1810 Lucy moved to Missouri with Lewis and Reuben There were apparently 8 other children of the marriage of Reuben and Ann, but I don't have their names. I believe that Lewis Young's son Reuben (II) stayed in Woodford County, Kentucky, married (1) Shartell Collins and (2) America Pilcher. Reuben II and Shartell had children John L., Mary C., Lucy Jane, and Uriah P. Young; Reuben II and America had children Eliza T., Dudley, and Jemima. Any information about these Youngs in Virginia, Kentucky, or Missouri would be appreciated. Thanks, Doug
