For my records, I've left the spelling with an "S" Stephen was a U.E. and was granted 200 acres in Fredericksburgh, Lennox Co, ON. One record found stated that he was in the VT 1800 census, but I find this a little odd because he was at home making babies. The children's date of births was obtain from the Weslyn Methodist records. Another record I found stated that Stephen had come up to ON from NY at the time of the war. Would be very interested if someone has a book on the early history of Fredericksburgh. Stephen married Anne.
