George, I am very interested in your Young family. MY great Grandmother was half Native American, she helped raise me til I was 17 yrs. old. Always said her Mother was full blooded. My G Grandmother was born in Gentryville, IN., her name was Margaret Ellen (nee) Young, her Mother, Mary B. Young was born in l846 but we're not sure where at. Mary had a brother James Young born in 1837. I found him living in Marys' home with Mary and her husband (George W. Kessner) in an 1880 Ind. Federal Census, at the library in Rockport, IN. The Kessner side was from Tenn. and KY. Mary is buried in an old family cemetary in Kyana, IN. My g. Aunt who is still living said that Geo. and Mary had general store there at one time. My Young bunch lived in Jasper, Huntingburg, Kyana, Rockport, and Christney, IN. Mary had a little girl named Laura who is buried (no stone) in a cemetary in Christney that I am told was once called Youngblood cemetary. I have alot of information on Mary after her marriage to Geo. and on his family, but I am at a brick wall with Mary and her brother James. Other siblings, parents and so on. Have names of alot of James and Marys, from 1850 census, but can't connect anything. I live across from Louisville in Floyd Co. and can't get to Rockport, etc. as often as I would like. If you could share any info with me I would appreciate it. WaDo, Toni
