Hi List Would SKS please lookup in the 1851 census, a James Young and Mary Craik. James was born abt 1784. I have been trying to link this James Young and Mary Craik, as the parents of my gr-gr-grandfather Andrew Young. I have not yet been able to find Andrew's birth date or place, I have his marriage and death, and on his death cert, it list his parents as James Young and Mary Craik. If I am correct, James and Mary had 7 other children, John, James, Peter, Alexander, Elizabeth, Betty, William. and Andrew would be number 8. but I cant link Andrew. Andrew died in Forfar. James Young and Mary Craik's first 3 children were born in Rescobie, and the next 4 were born in Kirriemuir, I believe that Andrew was born in Brechin. but it could be else where. in 1851 James Young would be 67, and Mary would be 66. their youngest linked child William was born 11 Jul 1823, so he would be 28, so not likely living at home. Andrew was born abt 1830, so it might be possible that he was still living at home..... any help appreciated... Thanks. Alan Young
