    3. My YOUNG ancestor came to Massachusetts about 1734 ~ Robert Young. Supposedly he was born in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, then went to Ulster, then to America. I've not had much luck finding the ship he was on or anything much about him before he arrived in America. Do you think the book you mentioned, "British Origins of American Colonists," would help? Supposedly he came with three brothers, but I've found nothing on that, either. He first settled in Holliston, MA, and I've found no evidence of other Young's there at the time. Unless they parted ways upon their arrival ~ who knows? I did join NEGHS and plan to go in there this week; I've also ordered from Higginson and that's a great resource (www.higginsonbooks.com ~ I believe ~ don't hold me to it!).
