    1. George Young
    2. Seeking information about George Young, who was married in Tishomingo Co., MS, on Jan. 6, 1848 to Nancy C. Garrey (one list shows her last name as Ganey). The bondsman for the marriage was James Watts. George Young also served as bondsman for the marriage of James Watts to Jane Holley on Aug. 12, 1847, also in Tishomingo Co., MS. Deborah Young, age 90, born in VA, was living in the household of Josiah Watts in the 1850 Census of Tishomingo Co., MS. Josiah Watts was the father of James Watts. Does anyone know the relation of Deborah Young to George Young? Was she his grandmother? We have been at a dead end here for quite some time. We have been told James Watts' mother was a Young, but she had died before the 1850 Census. Since Deborah Young was living in the Watts household, and George Young and James Watts served as bondsmen for each other's marriages, we feel they must have been relatives. George Young was probably a relative of James Watts' mother (a Young, that we have been unable to identify). We have not found George Young in the 1850 Census, so we don't know what happened to him after his marriage. Do any of these names sound familiar? Vicki Watts
