Susan, Lary, Toni, Ruth, Dough, Rod, Granny, and Charles Thanks for your notes off list. I'll post my information and perhaps you can aid in the search. Or perhaps, I can help any of you. William Young is believed to have come from England to Md. There is a William Young enumerated in Kent Co MD in 1790. A shipwreck is said to have caused the death of at least one son. Different branches have different versions, but the bottom line is that son Robert Watson was raised by Edward Comegys, a Quaker, in Kent Co MD. On Robert's marriage document he indicates his mother is Amelia. Some have speculated she is Amelia Comegys, but I've not found proof of this. Robert converts to the Friends religion in 1804 and moves to Baltimore. He marries Rebecca Hussey in 1808 in the Baltimore MM. They have the following children: William L. b 1809 ma Rennie Bromwell went to MO and KS George H. b 1811 ma Lucy Smith died in OH Joseph W. b. 1814 ma Sarah Binford stayed in IN Rachel b. 1816 d age 10 Elizabeth 1819 Robert W. 1822 ma Delilah Stanton went to IA Hiram H. 1825 ma Josephine Hollingsworth ?moved back to MD Charles A 1827 died young Edward Comegys 1828 ma Elizabeth Winder stayed in Champaign co OH John Francis 1832 d young This family moved from Baltimore to NYC, back to Baltimore then to Cincinnati then to Rush Co IN. This is the "first family". If any of this is familiar I would certainly appreciate hearing from you.I've always wondered about the middle name WATSON. One older researcher had some Watson material, but when I met her, she didn't have much memory and couldn't tell me why. Doug, BUTLER, enters this Young line twice. Virginia Ann Butler marries Micajah C. Young (s/o the above Joseph W.) in 1875 in ?IN. My mother is a BUTLER from Mooresville Morgan Co IN and she married my father in 1940. Ruth, We've briefly discussed the Binfords, but at this time I can't see the connection. As far as I know I don't have the TX YOUNGs you mentioned. Larry, None of your names sounded familiar to mine. But, the MD connection might prove interesting. Susan, Again the MD connection could be of interest. Thanks all for your notes. Hopefully, we can all have some luck in our searches.
