Seeking parentage of LEWIS HENRY YOUNG b. 12/13/1856 in Van Zandt County TX. The 1920 Wood County Texas Census documents his parents were both born in VA. Lewis Henry Young may have been married prior to 1903 and may have had an adopted son named "Josh". Lewis Henry Young married Martha (Mattie) Elizabeth Porter about 1903. Martha Porter was born 1867 in Alabama, the daughter of PC & Margaret Olive White Porter. Lewis and Mattie Young resided in Yantis, Wood County area of East Texas from 1903 until the time of his death, January 6, 1922. He is buried in Yantis, Wood County TX. Three children were born of this union: Jessie Ray Young b. 1905 in Yantis, Wood County Texas d. 1999 in Austin, Texas Clarence Cleo (Bob) Young b. 1907 in Yantis, Wood County Texas d. 1993 in Grand Saline, Van Zandt Texas Bessie Grace Young b. 1913 in Yantis, Wood County Texas, still living and resides in California.
