Need parents and siblings of Jesse Young born about 1780/1784 in SC. He died in 1848 in Amite Co MS. Jesse was a Baptist preacher who traveled throughout the Florida Parishes to set up new churches after having been baptized while in the militia in the War of 1812. He married Sarah Chaddick in Barnwell Co SC in 1805. Sarah moved to Claiborne Parish LA where she lived out her life after Jesse's death. Their children were were Richard who married Catherine Waggoner; Elizabeth who married (1) Zachariah Montgomery & (2) Martin Chaddick; Sarah who married (1) Henry Clark & (2) Charles Stanley; Christopher Adar who married (1) Frances Parker & (2) Lavinia Roundtree - all born in Barnwell Co SC. After the moved to Amite Co MS, the following children were born: John E who married Barshaby Jones; Jesse Jr who married Sarah Jones; Mary who married Aaron K Nolen; Elijah who married Mary Pate; William Greenberry who married Catherine Moak; Isaacher who married Nancy Montgomery; Esther who married Henry W Green and Levi D Young who married (1) Louisa Duncan and (2) Martha W ??. I have researched the other Youngs who were in Barnwell at the time Jesse Young was there and can make no link. I also do not believe he was a brother of Sarah Young who married my ancestor Christopher Garlington because of the places Sarah would have lived when Jesse was a child.
