I would like to post my query once again. Matthew YOUNG married Maria TOPPING 26 Oct 1806 at St Marys Carlisle, Cumbria, United Kingdom. A dau, Maria, was chr 6 Sep 1807, and a son, Joseph, was chr 11 Dec 1814 - both at the same church. I think there were 2 other dau - Margaret and Barbara. Joseph arr in South Australia on the "Sultana" 7 Oct 1852 with his wife, Mary Jane nee GIBSON, and daughters, Maria 8, Emily 6, and Jessy 3. Does anyone know where Joseph and Mary Jane were married or anything else about this family? As far as I can find out, Matthew was a draper at one time in Castle Street, Carlisle.
