    1. [YOUNG] Jesse & Benj. Young MD and OH
    2. Hi everyone, I am seeking to establish the relationship between Benjamin YOUNG (b Allegany County, MD) and Jesse YOUNG (moved from Allegany to Harrison County, OH?). They are found living next to one another in the 1830 Census of Harrison County, OH. In the 1830 census, Benjamin lived with his wife and one daughter under 5. By 1840, Jesse Young's household is not shown, but the Benjamin Young household has picked up 1 female between the age of 70 & 80. This is the right age for Mrs. Jesse Young of the 1830 census. My theory is that Jesse Young is Benjmin's father, and that Jesse Young died between 1830 and 1840, and his widow moved in with her son's family. Does anyone have Jesse's date of death? Benjamin Young b. 18 March 1807, Allegany Co., MD, married 1st on 8 January 1829 in Harrison County OH, and died 12 August 1899 in Wapello County, IA. Jesse Young married Mary BRADY on 29 July 1805 in Allegany County, MD. (Thank you Allegany County USGENWEB and Carol Askey who sent lots of info. on Youngs before I was even able to have some hypothesis on Benjamin's family.) Jesse Young is listed as head of household as follows: 1810 Allegany Co. MD aged 26-44 (Has two males under 5 also) 1820 Harrison Co. OH aged 45 and up (has two males 10 and under 16) 1830 Harrison Co. OH aged 50 and under 60. (has 1 male 20 and under 30) If my math is right, and these are all the same Jesse, he was born between 1780 and 1784. Where was he born? I wrote to the Harrison County courthouse week's ago for Jesse's probate, but no reply so far. Is there a way to connect Jesse and Benjamin in Allegany County, MD? Is the Mary Brady above the daughter of Ben Brady? Thanks in advance for any help. Joe Wright, Chicago
